OMG you're such a facking IDIOT for asking this question.
And I'm just being a ditz and I think it's fine that you're curious, but yes, they fart. I didn't know this firsthand until we had a pair of kittens appear like magic at our back door, a calico *female, of course* and a white cat with orange tabby markings. The female was a *****, so sadly she wound up at a shelter that my mother claims is no kill, though recently I've found she's lied about a lot of things, so I don't beleive her for a second, but the white and orange male was friendly as all getout and started purring if you even glanced at him and he saw it. We kept him, and I quickly learned that cats fart, and my GODS do they STINK. And these weren't a fart every few hours, it was faarting often enough to if the cat is in the same room as you, you smell it, and occasionally they were audible. We're guessing it was the "diet" he had been on since weening, which prbably consisted of whatever he could find at the dump, so not good. After a while on dry kitten food, he's not so gassy and I can't remember the last time he pooted. Though he has grown out of it, so to speak, we affectionately call him PumpkinPooter, or just Pooter.
But yeah, cats fart. Where everyone blames the dog, I've never heard nor smelled a dog fart, so blame the cat whenever possible ^_^

Wow, nice thing to ask. Yes, cats do fart, and sometimes, it can be BAD!!!!!! I have 2 cats, and usually after they eat beef or anything with cheese, the gas makes you so sick. Sometimes it is funny, but other times its not.

That's a good question, I've never heard my cats fart, but I've smelled it. I think and I don't know if I'm right about this at all but I've often wondered if when they stretch that helps them remove flatulence. I can't imagine any bowel system not doing it but I think cats just have such good muscle control that you don't here it at least I haven't heard one, but I've sure smelled them. This is a good question but sort of weird to discuss.

Yes they do! And WoW! Are they bad.

When my husband, now ex, and I were first married we had one of those set ups with the mattress and box springs on the floor?

And in would come the cat after just hunting and eating mice all night, back in early in the morning.

He would walk around us for awhile, get warm, purrrr.

Then next he would turn his back on us, and almost sit on our faces and let it rip!

We used to call them Mouse Farts.

That's when we lived in the mountains, in a cabin, in the woods.

Yes, especially when they are cuddling in your lap, when they sit under the table while you're eating something tasty and when they cuddle up on the pillow of your bed next to your head. Probably they fart the most when they are happy.
(They must have killed the BOT, since he didn't answer this question.)

Yes. I've never smelled my seven year-old cat but I often smell the six month old kittens. They were captured in the wild, taken from momma too soon and have chronic tummy problems because of it. So yes, they do.

What a question!~

everything farts, but it's good. It means that its digestive system is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Even though it's gross.
