I have a cat that does that on occasion. Normally it is because we forgot to clean the box before we went to bed. I suggest you make sure the box is clean, cats can be very picky. We have a couple of cats and clean ours twice a day.

The only other time my cat did that was when we took a vacation, we left him home with a sitter, but the day we got home he went pee on the clothes in the suitcase. He also would not "talk" to me for days either.

Believe me when I say that this is nothing personal. I really wish that Yahoo would develop a format of questions for the questioner to review before asking their questions.

For every cat question, I first and always want to know the age of the cat, second, is it a he or she, and with a myriad of quesitons to follow. If anyone is as frustrated as I in reading this, please let me know how to toss my ideas to Yahoo as the questions are so vague and frustrating when you really want to help someone!

Your question is vague and doesn't say much. Does your cat use the litter box? Understand my frustration in my desire to help you?

If your cat is fixed, than perhaps as I read in one of your responses that it could be jealous and needs to leave it's scent in this way. I was once in a relationship where my X had an extremely intelligent German Shepherd. When he put cologne on, she would purposely role in poop.

Pets in general are highly intelligent and do have jealous tendencies. When did your cat start doing this? Was it after some new love entered your life?

If your cat knows how to use the litter box, and with the little information you offered, I can only think it is a jealous gesture.

If you're up to it, please let me know all my unanswered questions to better help you solve your problem! Thanks.

yes maybe your cat has bladder problems. Just like humans can only control their urge to urinate for a specific amount of time so can cats. Show your vet. Or some cats urinate on things that they claim or they own. Your cat either really loves you or has bladder problems. If this persists go to the vet immediately.

Hope that helps =]

Your cat could have got scared and that could of caused it to have an accident. Also your cat could have a bladder problem. If this accident was out of the blue you should go see a vet right away.

This has happened a few times for me. It might mean that your cat saw something that upset him or made him afraid. It might mean that he wanted attention. But if you wanted advice on how to deal with it i say to train him to use the litter box daily. Hope it works out..

If this is unusual for your cat, maybe it has a bladder problem. When I had cats with bladder problems they would go strange places or right in front of me to get attention b/c it hurts! Get a vet check.

See, mine is spoild rotten and she peed once on mine because it was just on her way! same with a pair of socks. But usually they do it because they are jelous for somone or something that might have leave its scent on your pants. My mothers cat peed on my cousin's husband to be tie and shirt, he was awfully jelous of not getting any attention on the wedding day!!! Try not to leave the clothes you take off at his reach because with these buggers you never know!
