because mine needs refurbishing. and the carpet scraps I have are too thick to foldover the edges. And what should I use to attach the carpet? Not sure if carpenters glue is harmful for cats, or perhaps i should use nails or staple gun?

Beside taking her to the vet. I bought her 2 years ago at a pet store, but the worker didn't know the breed. Can anyone tell me how to figure it out? Or websites that help?

For at least the last month, he's throwing up almost every day. At first we thought it just had to do with hairball season, but that time has come and gone. Sometimes he's not even really throwing anything up -- it's kind of just saliva that comes out. Often he throws up his kibble, and we've switched it at least once without any positive results. He also gets sort food every day, he doesn't seem to throw that up. The reason why I just asked is because I gave him very small bit of chicken and within 30 minutes he's thrown it up.

He's 10 years old, and this behaviour has never happened before... he seems healthy otherwise, not losing weight or anything - he's large cat. I don't want to take him to the vet over nothing, he's absolutely terrified of leaving the apratment, he'd be so scared that pee all over, he's got A LOT of strange issues, he was a feral cat for the first 6 months of life. This puking around the house is really starting to get infuriating though... any suggestions?

Since I have started babysitting my moms dog, medium size, about 40 pounds, my cat will not come out of a specific room, wont eat or drink, and if she does, she pukes. I think it is because of the stress from a new dog in the house, but I am uncertain. I was wondering if anyone has had any similar cases with their pets. I am going to take her to the vet soon to make sure it isn't something else serious.

They were brought into our local shelter from another person fostering them, but she wanted them out of her house. They are 6 weeks old, and the mom keeps hissing at them. I haven't seen her feed them. She may be stressed because of a new situation, but I'm wondering if I should separate her from the kittens. The kittens were filthy, I cleaned them all up, and even the mom is dirty. Has anyone ever seen a situation like this before?

I just got one of those laser pointers for the cats to chase, its funny and they seem to love it, but then after i put it away, they act all cracked out for like half an hour, like darting thier heads around like they are still looking for the dot.
Do you think this thing is going to drive them crazy or something?

For the past few days, our cat has become sick, she is VERY lathargic, only sleeping, or laying down, seems very weak when she does try to walk around, and looks sick just by the look of her face. We don't think she is eating as much, although we haven't been home much and we have another cat, so it's hard to tell. She hasn't thrown up, and there are no other symptoms. What could be going on, someone who has real experience or is a vet please! Thanks!

We recently adopted a 3 year old persian/tortoishell and her face is so pushed in... We've been feeding her canned food, because she really enjoys it, but a lot of times, her face gets really messy and we have to clean it up. Her right eye has always looked bad- in the begining, it was sort of fogged over, and now she won't open it, and stuff is oozing out of it [we've been cleaning it up] but we are going to be sure to take her to the vet, so no worries- I was just wondering, are there any home remedies/things we should to do help her in the mean time?

She's about 10 years old and we recently changed her to a "seniors" cat food. She's got a couple scabby places on her neck (she's a long hair) and she just had an "Accident" in the kitchen and she's never not used her litter box before..

Whenever I start to clean out my cat's littler box, she will step right in it WHILE I'm cleaning it and she'll pee! Right in front of me! Aren't cat's supposed to not want people around when they pee? She is totally immodest, haha. What does this mean?
