My dog has a really bad flea allergy too. If you can get the fleas under control and get her to stop licking and scratching, the hair should grow back. Our dog has been itching horribly since May, it took them forever to figure out what the problem was. Now that the fleas seem to be gone he is doing a lot better and the hair is growing back in most places.

Yes it will. when I found my cat he had been abandoned and had fleas and worms, the fur on his neck was almost all gone because of an allergic reactions to fleas and excessive scratching. I took him to the vets to have flea and worm treatment, fed him good quality cat food regularly, and two months after his fur grew back and he looks gorgeous!

I read you can give him cod liver oil or primrose oil to aid hair regrowth. But be sure you ask your vet if its OK to do so and buy the ones specifically for cats as human doses are too strong.

Absolutely - I have a bad habit of collecting abandoned/hurt/abused cats and dogs -- many have gone through this due to allergies and even mange. Sometimes when their hair grows back, it's different, but it always grows back eventually.

My cat has the same problem. If the cat didn't scratch itself to the point of ripping out sections of hair, then it should grow back with no trouble. My cat would tear himself up, so he has a couple "scar areas" that don't grow hair. But all in all, if you are on the problem and are correcting it, then there shouldn't be any problem. Good luck to you and your kitty!!!

Cats usually shed anyway, put olive oil on the cat to keep fleas off and grow hair.
