Sounds like your "moggy", as you call him, has got himself a new girlfriend!

Hi,
I'm not so sure such a small cat should be allowed out, has he had all his injections? I got my kitten at 12 weeks and she stayed in for 2 months. Then I would let her out in the back garden but make sure I stayed with her and watched her every movement, then took her back in after half an hour. I did this for a week or two and then after a while I started to stay in doors and watch as she went out side. For months she just stayed in the back garden but now she goes any where she likes, some times she stays out until 2/3 o 'clock in the morning!! But she always comes home meowing for diner

Keep him inside until he is full grown. Every state has it's preditors. A car could kill him and not many people would be willing to take time from their oh-so-busy-lifes to take a cat to the hospital. Collar is a must and an added plus (for cat obsessors like me) an idee chip (vets stick a chip in his neck and stitch him back up). I hope you will or already did fix him/her. Shelters are already filling up and not all of them are "no kill". There aren't enough homes willing to take in a couple of cats so most end up in the streets or being neglected be an owner who doesn't care.

If you want to keep your cat safe, keep him in a box, but make sure to put some small holes in it so he can breath.
As for getting him chipped, take him to your local performance tuning specialist. Nowadays, with just a modest outlay you can get pedigree performance out of even a lowly moggy!

I would not bother getting him chipped he's obviously a partial outdoor cat which would lead to town exploration, which (without being mean) can lead to something happening to the cat. This would put you out all that money on getting him chipped.
Instead consider a collar and a tag with his name and address on it. Therefore if some good soal finds him they can bring him home.
My actions would be He's 3 months old... he deserves a house and being pampered not let outside.

if want your cat chipped im pretty sure if u contact your local cats protection league they will give u all the info u need. if u tell them u took him in as a stray in sure for a donation they will chip and neuter him as well. it also may be an idea to wait till he is around 6 mth old befor u let him out then just do it gradually

well u should go the the vet and make him be put a chip so that when he gets lost and someone did find him
the chip could help the vet to find u
also keep him in the house
he or she should always have a collar all the time

You can go to any humane society and have the microchipping done. They usually offer this at a discounted rate than vets do because it helps them keep the population in their shelters down. In Indiana the fee is $20 not sure about other states.

some kids may of sprayed him with scent. Its not unusual around here for that to happen. As for chipping a cat it only works if the other person who finds him asks the vet to check him. If i wanted your cant i would,nt tell the vet to check or even if he did i would lie why i had him. They are only as good as the person who finds your cat

Take him to the vet to be chipped - it's about £20 - £25. But if you are on a low income go to the PDSA - you will get it cheaper
