Need help! Whats the best cat litter?

We have 3 cats...and after 2 days it smells? Anyone found the "one" that works on smell?

Tidy Cats Crystals for Mulitple Cats works wonders. Hubby used to complain terribly until i found this. You can get it at Walmart. Its about $7 per cat but its really worth it. Only have to change it once a month. That and you could use more than one litter box so it doesnt all clump into one and it should help. And use liners in it, helps keep the odors from sticking to the box. i double line mine because they tear easily. Also you can use just regular baking soda in with the litter to help reduce it. Or buy the Tidy Cats brand odor remover. Good luck!

I had two cats in the house for over 10 years and I always used Scoop Away kitty liter. You do need to scoop it every day and that keeps the smell down a lot. I also used the arm and hammer sprinkle for liter boxes every so often too. You can also buy a enclosed liter pan that has a filter in the top that keeps odor from escaping. I replaced the filter once a month. Also if you feed the cat dry food, they will not smell as bad. I hope this helps.

Arm&Hammer mulit-cat clumping litter. Also get yourself a Littermate catbox. They have one for multiple cats. They are a little pricey, but you might be able to find a good deal on one at ebay. They are sold retail at Petsmart. Another thing I do is I use a regular refrigerator type box of arm & hammer littler at opens on the side and I put it inside the litter box tent next to the cat box, and I sprinkle some inside the poop receptacle (that way everytime it opens it neutralizes the smell. Whaever you do, don't sprinkle baking soda directly on the litter.........it will cause the litter to clump when the cat pees.

what I have found that works the best is get a covered litter box (main reason I got one was that my cats would dig the litter right out of the box and onto my kitchen floor, wasted a lot of litter) I also get litter liners and I use Arm and Hammer Super scoop unscented (a lot of cats don't like scented litter they have a ver sencitive nose and it could even keep them from using the litterbox). I scoop out the litter box ever day and then once a week or once every two weeks I will do a full litter change.

you can add baking soda to the litter about every other day just sprinkle a little on top.

that is what works best for me and my 2 cats.

For 3 cats you should have 2-3 litter boxes....scoop every day...

But I've found that Nature's Miracle Odor Control Clumping Cat Litter is the best...you can scoop up urine and feces, its all natural, isn't dusty, and I don't have to worry about guests smelling the litter box. It also smells nice and fresh, not that hideous perfumed smell....

I have two cats and I like using Arm & Hammer Multi-Cat.

I also, clean the litter box twice a day. Once in the morning before I leave for work and once when I get home.

Arm and Hammer has worked the best for us. Plus you can buy a deodorizer to add to the litter. Be sure and clean the litter box daily and sift through it to help the smells absorb. Or if nothing else add baking soda to the litter but be sure and mix it in well.

I always put baking soda in the bottom of My litter pan that helps to absorb ordors along with a tidy cat (that has a scent). Tidy Cat also has a powder that has a scent that you can put in your litter that helps with the odor.

I like Arm and Hammer i can never smell anything. with three cats youll have to change it farly often though it will fill fast!
