scare it away. when my cat, before she died, i used to make this sound that'll scare her away when she starts playing and making these annoying noises with things. i used to make a "SSSSSSSSSS" noise. or move the ornaments higher.

I don't think it's possible. My cats steal the ornaments and hide them and knock the tree (small) over. I just put them back on and deal with it. I tried spraying the tree with vinegar and tabasco last year to deter them from going near it, but it didn't work.

I found some motion sensing noise alarms that will go off if there's motion and are very loud. This works pretty well, unless the cat is deaf. But until they learn, be prepared to be woken up by a loud noise

You can't, he thinks you put up the tree for his amusement. YOu could try spraying him with a bottle of water everytime he gets near the tree, see if that works. My cats no longer mess with the tree, they just lay under it and sleep.

Try that repellent that’s supposed to keep cats/dogs/mice etc from chewing, or maybe even the area repellent, although I'm not sure you'd want to use the repellent in your home…
Read the label first.
Other than that, squirt gun/bottle with water. (Unless they like water...Then, good luck)
