she could be sick.. depending why the kittens died it could be something wrong with her as well.. or she has a retained kitten still inside her poisoning her body or something.. I would take her to the vet ASAP and have her checked.. this could be an emergency

anyhow i would spay her because there is an obvious problem PLUS 2-3 million cats are euthanized every year.. every kitten that lives means 1 more will have to die...

spayed kitties have fewer health risks too...

If you have the financial means, you might try taking her to a vet. Having trouble going potty could be a sign that something is wrong with her. You didn't mention whether or not she was drinking any water. If not, you should definitely see a vet because cats get dehydrated very quickly.

In addition to seeing a vet, you might try giving her a couple of small stuffed animals to be a mommy to. And maybe there's a litter of kittens at your local shelter who need a mommy, although I'm not sure if cats will raise a litter that isn't their own like some dogs will. It couldn't hurt to ask.

After your kitty gets better, you might want to consider getting her fixed so she doesn't go through something like this again. I hope everything works out for the both of you!

By the way, have you tried feeding her tuna? I've never seen a cat who can resist it :)

I honestly would take her to the vets. She might be sick and especially since she will not eat. Or before taking her in, call the vets and see what they say. They will most likely though tell you to come in. Depending on how old she is and if this was her first time having kittens, that might have a lot to do with it. Keep a close eye on her and if she won't eat, try canned cat food. I did that with my kitten because she didn't seem to be feeling very well and it helped her. And probably the going to the bathroom situation might just be sensitivity and irritation from when she had the kittens. Try seeing if she'll play with toys and cuddle with her if you can. When you go to sleep at night, keep her close to you if you can (kitten condo, her bed). Pamper her as much as you can. Try the vets first though.

I am so sorry for your loss of the kittens though. =( I hope she feels better and that everything will be okay. Good luck with everything!

I am so very sorry that Tea Tea lost her kittens. I would ask the vet how you can best comfort her and also why she is having trouble going potty. Pet her a lot and talk to her and say a prayer for her. Open a can of tuna. Cats have to be really sick to refuse tuna. Give her a small dish of milk to wash the tuna down.
Good luck!

First, you'll want to get her checked out by the vet. Difficulty with bathroom duties can easily be caused by a medical condition.
The best way to help an animal get over grief is by simply moving on. Cats and dogs can sense our sadness, and they respond to it. By continuing to be sad and by treating the cat differently, you are inadvertedly keeping her from recovering. Try to make the house cheery, give her some tasty treats, and new toys, and let her be happy again. It may take her some time to get over her loss, but she will eventually.

How would you feel about going to the shelter and adopting a small kitten? Maybe she would treat it like one of her own, and help her through the loneliness. Poor thing! Why did all her kittens die?
Give her plenty of extra love and attention, also!

Wow. Maybe get her some catnip (if she goes for that) or something. Or try this, not sure if it'll work, get a small stuffed animal and put it where she sleeps. If you can find one that is 'animated' some of them purr and stuff, that may help, maybe she'll think it's one of her kittens. If you have something with the kittens 'scent' on it, rub it on the stuffed animal.

Animals are a lot like humans in the grieving department. I can tell you a lot of love. If she continues not to eat after a week I would make a vet run. But she will eat when she is hungry and as long as you are loving her she should be okay.

You can get some homeopathic Ignatia from a health food store. One 30C dose will help her overcome her grief.

You might also have the vet check her out to make sure her uterus is clear as she can get an infection. The vet can also recommend something to help her milk dry up.

I would definitely take her to the vet. There could be problems going on that you can't see. He will advise you about helping her, but her physical body needs checked.
good luck as I'm a cat lover and have a cat myself
