I just found this kitten two days ago and brought it home, it is a wild kitten, with no home. The mother was taken to the SPCA. the kitten is old enough to eat dry cat food and is a boy, from what I can tell. Unfortanely I cannot RUSH my kitten to the vet right now since I am working and just found it two days ago when the vet's offices are closed. I apologize for not adding all this details in the earlier message. She has been eating some dry cat food and some cat's milk over the counter milk. I plan on taking her to the vet this evening hopefully!! The kitten has not gone to the bathroom since I have had it in my eyesite and my care. THank you for all the answers and I thought that it might have worms. The kitten hopefully is not pregnant. I plan on getting it spayed or nuetered and finding out more info this evening or this week! Thanks!

she didn't eat her breakfast and all she wanted to do was either lie down or just sit there looking tired. she hasn't been sneezing- that i know of.
a cold? allergic to somthing in the house?
we did just get a new ppermint airfreshener in our bedroom (not that strong at all) and that is where she sleeps in her bed. We also put these cinnamon pine cones all over the living room- they are kind of strong-
does anyone have any ideas?
(i called her vet- they said to keep an eye on her- that i should giveit a couple of days)

i am a worried mom!

(btw- she is 7yrs old and this has never happened before)

thanks!
Jennifer

I have two cats, but neither one of them like to be held. I try to cuddle with them all the time, but they won't have any of it. It has to be on their terms. Are there any cats who don't mind being held?

I love cats and have 20 acres. I am financially able to take care of them but what will people think. Only 3 come in the house and stay at night. The rest are outside... Will my family and friends think I'm crazy?

My cat absolutely LOVES mandarin oranges from the can, we eat them almost every night. I only give him a couple segments, but I was wondering if it could be dangerous in some way for him since we have them almost daily. Has anyone heard anything?

The cats were using the litter boxes in the one spare bedroom for 2-3 years, then after the basement was finished, I moved the box to behind the basement, in front of the heater and they kept peeing & pooping in the one finished & carpeted corner of the basement. We now yanked the carpet & refinished the basement, again, with vinyl flooring and they still pooped & maybe peed on it. How do I keep them from doing that, or on carpeted floors upstairs in the bedroom? Second question, how do I prevent the cats from peeing in between the liner & the box?

Once my boyfriend moved in, my cat stopped laying on me to sleep, wanting to be with me (except when I am in the bathroom), and marks. I know why he marks and my boyfriend has been in the house for 5 months now, but the cat isn't going back to his old ways. Any suggestions?

I adopted a precious little kitten from the pound who was abandoned. Now it's time to get her spayed and she will be at the vet overnight. I'm afraid she will think I've taken her back to the pound and left her. My friend said not to go visit her that afternoon to wait till I pick her up because she will just want to go with me. That's reasonable but I think I should take some of things so she feels like home a little bit anyway. My husband said they will likely commit me if I show up at the vet with an overnight bag for my cat. She has food she likes and a blanket and she's never slept anywhere but with me. I just don't want my precious Angel (her name) to think she's been bad and returned to the pound. Can I take some of things or what?

I am a first time cat owner, (or is that cat ownee?) Ths kitten adopted my husband. I am amazed at how much the little guy gets into. Oh, and the spray repellent doesn't work, at least not with this one.

This is the picture of my kitten that showed up on my front porch one night a little while ago. We named her Foxy for no real reason other then that's all we could come up with. No one has claimed her and we had asked around and put up a posting just in case anybody that was looking, so we decided to keep her. We have yet to take her to a vet to get her shots but we are very soon. Very friendly. She has six toes on one paw...(I just wanted to give some background info just in case anybody was curious)
I was just wondering, based on this picture, can anyone tell me what breed she is? Maybe average how old she is?

We recently had a cat flap installed but my cats just sniff it and won't use it. How do I convince them to stick their heads through it. I've tried pushingn them out it a couple of times but they just sit outside sniffing it and meowing to get back in.

Well my cat has always been piggish and always seems to eat everything i do.
When i'm not looking she'll take a lap at whatever i'm eating.
I always throw it away afterwards and i'm annoyed with her aswell.
Is this dangerous to eat it after she's licked it?

I'm getting extremely worried about my 7 year old cat.
She has a twin sister who is much heavier (Milly) and always has been bigger, but now my thinner cat (Tilly) has recently been getting lighter and lighter.
She's not a fussy eater and i see her drinking and eating regularly.
She's had her worm shot recently.
Any help or reccomendations?

I have just adopted a cat from an animal rescue centre. She is just short of a year old and has had all her immunisations, snips etc. She is trained to use the cat litter. I already have another cat, who naturally was able to come and go as she pleases and has her own little sandy area out back for toileting purposes, my other cat is 3. I have to admit, it is a little effort to keep all the windows and cat flap blocked to prevent the new cat getting out. What is the minimum time I should keep her indoors before allowing her to roam.? No worries about traffic etc as I live in a cul-de-sac very close to rural settings.
Many thanks

they said whiskas is not good for cats??why?

2006-11-27 21:17:10 · 22 answers · asked by Anonymous

My cat is about 14 (got her from cat rescue, they weren't sure of age), I've had her since 18 months old. She has recently changed her behaviour and I don't know why. She runs from place to place and suddenly refuses to sit in normal places(always has until now) she has to sit under the desk on the shelf or on top of something. When she is outside(rarely) at the front door wanting food, I open the door and she just miaows and looks through the door cautiously as though there might be something scary in the house. It takes a lot of coaxing to get her in. She eats her food then flits to the nearest weird place to sit, if I put her on the sofa she immediately jumps off. This has started a couple of weeks ago and she's getting stranger by the day. I know she's getting on in age but she's still very agile and doesn't look old at all. The whole family have noticed and don't know why she's being like this.
Any advice on weird behaviour in cats gratefully received.

There are 4 kittens living in a shed behind my apartment. They defiitely at least have something wrong with thier eyes, and I want to help them out, especially get them nuetered or spayed. Only if I get them caught, I don't want to lose them to do it all over. Also, any ideas on trapping them humanely ?
