My 5 month old kitten is afraid of my husband. She will not come out of her bed when he is around. When he walks into a room she runs like hell in the other direction. When he holds her she sinks real low to the ground and has her ears back like she is flinching. I know you may be thinking that he might have done something to her but he hasn't! This is his first cat and he was so excited to get her and is desperately trying, but she is petrified! Anyone ever seen this before? Will it go away? Should we give the cat away for both their sakes?

I had 2 Manx kitties, very sweet and well trained! A couple of weeks ago we were supposed to move into another community that doesn't allow pets, we had searched way before that for a place where the cats can stay temporarily but couldn't find one. We put an add asking for new loving home for them, and we found a guy who lives in a close complex who wanted them. We gave them to him and we gave him all of their furniture and toys and a new bag of food and litter and we told him we don't want money, because we rather he spent it on them. Now 2-3 weeks later it turned it we are not moving - we cannot afford moving no more, financial problem - so we are staying in the same complex. I want to take my kitties back, but don't know what to do. After this happened I was crying to much and I can't stop crying! I told my husband I wish I never gave them away! And if I ever get them back I won't move to a place that doesn't allow pets! I thought about asking the guy, but what if he says NO! Help!

He is a black and wite striped cat,and my Angel. He was always a skinny cat,but now he's deadly thin.I can see the curve of his spine and he seems very weak. When I play with him,he shakes.I gave him some skim milk, because he won't eat,and water isn't giving him a lot of energy.I think he may have eaten an insect or some other thing. He is 7 human years old.He is not meowing alot, but he normally is a noisy-ish cat.He sleeps alot now too.
Please help me and give me some advice.I'm not a vet. Also,no foolish answers either. This is serious.

My cat doesn't like anybody. She hides if I ever have company and won't let anybody pet her. So I take her to the vet with a hurt paw (she was limping, got into it with my other cat). She just sits there and lets him do whatever to her. No squirming, biting or anything. Was she just afraid to do anything or did she know the vet would help her? Are some people just born with "it".

I want to buy my sister a maine coon kitten for Christmas, she recently lost the one she had for 9 years. We live in CT and don't want to have to ship the kitten over here, but if we have to we will. Does anyone know of places selling maine coon kittens? Preferably a breeder, I'm not fond of the pet-shop deal. We want to get all the deatils figured out before Christmas and there's only 27 days left to find a kitten! Please if you know of any breeders close to CT, or any breeders at all, let me know! Thanks!!

Brand new leather couch to be delivered this week. Totally forgot about cat's bad habit of spraying on unfamiliar furniture- otherwise I wouldn't have bought leather. Does FelineAway or any other product actually work?

I once had a beautiful smoky gray kitty named like that. Actually, the name had a meaning. "Gris" means gray in Spanish, and he was gray, so I thought "Griseldo" was suitable and charming.

I'm looking to switch my cat's food from Special Kitty urinary tract food. My cat has recently been diagnosed with allergies. My vet recommended changing his food. I'm a little weary of not getting the urinary formula food seeing how two of my male cats had UTI's in the past from not feeding them the right type of food. This brand was recommended on the petco website but I'm not sure whether I should try it or not.

Cat starts meowing at 3am everyday. If wife not home their is no problem. We tried feeding him, he would eat, then start meowing again, we tried spray bottle, he just goes further in distance and meows louder. We close the door to the bedroom, he bangs on the door with his body. It seems that he just wants my wife up every morning. How can I break this habbit of his, the cage just becomes more of a problem. He is de-clawed front and back, so can't put outside. He has never been outside since birth, except for balcony.

She is 3 years old and spayed. She takes spells losing weight (once she got so skinny I was afraid someone was going to call the Humane Society on us). But then she gains it back and gets fat again. I took her to the vet about it but he just said in the summer, cats will lose weight and look smaller also due to loss of their winter coat. But she started losing again and it's winter. She hates to go the vet and only goes for shots once a year(they don't even take her out of her carrier). the vet gives me wormer to use at home. So unless she could be really sick, I don't want to take her. What are some diseases she might have or is it just normal for her?
