Dear user,
Your cat may be like mine, she hide every time a person walked in the door. All you have to do is, when your cat is out and a new person is at the door, tell them to come to him/her in a calm, slow, and gentle way. Then you cat will see that there is now reason to be a scaredy-cat when the people are nice to him/her!
Wishing you the best of luck,

My cats are scared of new people or "strangers" and I like them that way becuase no stranger will find it easy to pick up or catch my cats to do something terrible to them. When I have visitors, I just make sure that my cats are confined in my room - and that is where they prefer to stay whenever there are strangers in my house. Why would I want my cats to meet my visitors anyway? I only show my cats to some visitors when they are insistent on seeing one or both my cats - but my cats never enjoy such episodes, so I keep it to a minimum.

Many cats are terrified of unfamiliar people. This is not unusual behavior at all. When in doubt - hide! Don't try to bring the cat out to see them. Let her hide. While she is hiding she can smell them and hear their voices. That is the beginning of her getting used to an unfamiliar person. After more visits she may then have the courage to come out an take a peek. But never try to force introductions with a cat. It only makes it worse. The forced introduction is terrifying and she will then associate that person with being terrified and as a result will perhaps never come out when they come over. let the cat decide who she wants to meet and when she feels safe and comfortable doing so.

My cat is like that too. She is very friendly with me and my husband but I don't think anyone else has ever gotten more than a glimpse of her as she ran by to hide. Be thankful he loves and trusts you and you are the only human he needs. Good luck!

ask the person who is coming ahead of time to give you some of their clothig, shirt or something, and show it to your cat, let him/her smeel it, when him/her is used to the smell, invite the person over, your cat will realize that this is the person that it was smelling
Your cat may not be able to smell the person right as they walk in the door so try holding your cat when the person comes and gently walk over to the new person.
If your cat is not afraid of you, you'll be fine

no sometimes animals are always scared of people. but as long as your cat isn't scared of you, i wouldn't be worried.
