Boy "Daddy D", you have just stirred up a hornets nest. Cat people are worse than a bunch of "Bible Thumpers". But I have to agree with you. The only thing cats are good for is ballistic jelly.

Hi there...each animal has a beneficial purpose to the environment before they were domesticated by man. Centuries ago domesticated cats were and still are efficient rodent and vermin control. So every animal should not be considered a waste of DNA--each contributes to the diversity of the environmental ebb and flow of the planet.

Waste of DNA? Please. Cats are wonderful animals and terrific pets, but if you are too closed minded to see that then it is your loss. Cats did not become the number 1 pet in America by accident...Well I have wasted enough of my time with a person like you so good day.

I don't consider my Siamese a waste of DNA when she keeps the mice population under control. Mice, now that's a waste of DNA.

Actually, I think that DNA must have been wasted whenever you were created since obviously the intelligence gene was eliminated and that must be the reason for you to ask such a stupid question.

lol You should have been smart and posted this in the dog section. I only saw it on the bottom of my screen. I don't like cats very much either. I am an animal lover though so don't you dare hurt one of them. If you don't like them then don't have one (like I don't). One of my buddies has one and the thing is forever scratching and clawing you to death. What a horrible creature! And to think I used to think they were better than dogs!! lol@me
