Some cats enjoy fish when it's given, but I don't think it'd be correct to say that cats in general love to eat fish. Wild cats don't normally eat fish, unless a human left it out for them.

In fact, fish is unhealthy for cats, and can cause a vitamin deficiency because there's a substance in fish that breaks down vitamin B1 (I think it was) in cats. And of course, since they are smaller than humans, they are a lot more sensitive to any pollution that might have 'poisoned' the fish; a human might be okay, but how would someone who weighs a tenth or less of your weight react? =/

they do no longer unavoidably love fish, that's a fantasy it quite is been around for a protracted, long term. I particularly have a feeling it replaced into early cartoons which extra this approximately. it quite is not that cats hate water the two, some like it and that they are superb swimmers. it quite is in basic terms that they commonly do no longer in basic terms like the hours of artwork had to get the fur taken care of out afterwards . . . Cats are "carnivores obligates", meaning that they could devour meat, which in the wild is commonly in the style of birds and rodents, as all of us be responsive to too properly. in the event that they arrive for the duration of a fish they actual view it as in basic terms yet another style of meat. For what it quite is properly worth, none of ours by way of the years have been inspired with fish-based food.

People have canine teeth, they are carnivores....we eat meat, I'm sure you like meat, well...cats like fish because that is they're meat and that is the only meat they can eat besides tuna, they are small kitties. Cougars,Bobcats, Cheetahs, Black panthers, Tigers, Leopards, ALL the BIG cats eat the big meat such as antelope, deer and zebras.

That's like asking why kids like candy............

Not all cats like fish. I had a cat that wouldn't touch her cat food if it was made from fish.
