Using the teeth is a type of grooming technique, most used to get rid of knots, mats, or [cough] parasites. But he could also be trying to play with you. It moves, thus it is toy.

My cat did that to me when she was a kitten. I don't think she was grooming me, as there was no licking involved. Just strange cat behaviour, I think.

probably. unless he's trying to eat it. then he may have a belly ache. but cats tend to show affection by grooming that's why you'll see one cat cleaning another cat.

Yup - that he is - grooming you. Enjoy his obvious affection and regard for you. Cats are very discriminating on who and what they groom. :)

Maybe he's flossing his teeth, playing with your hair or just likes the way it feels in his mouth.

My cat does that sometimes.. I am truly convinced that the reason why is that she wants attention. when I pet her and rub her tummy, she does to sleep
