This is the picture of my kitten that showed up on my front porch one night a little while ago. We named her Foxy for no real reason other then that's all we could come up with. No one has claimed her and we had asked around and put up a posting just in case anybody that was looking, so we decided to keep her. We have yet to take her to a vet to get her shots but we are very soon. Very friendly. She has six toes on one paw...(I just wanted to give some background info just in case anybody was curious)
I was just wondering, based on this picture, can anyone tell me what breed she is? Maybe average how old she is?

No pic to see but Maine Coons are known for having extra toes, so maybe she could be one. If that's the case it may be a little hard to figure out her age also, because we have a Maine Coon cat who is 4 months old but she looks like she's already 7 or 8 months because of how big they get. Here's a website with some Maine Coon facts and a picture. Maybe you can see if the cat on the page looks like your kitten. :)

I only see the Nakido site as well. But from what you described, the kitten would either have been left on your front porch by someone who owned the mother cat or the kitten's mother lives nearby. It is more than likely the kitten is an unwanted - a stray. Good on you for adopting her. Six toes on one paw? I don't know what that means. Taking her to the vet is good. You can ask the vet about her breed. About the age, to give you an idea, a cat that is one year old would already have the size of a cat several years old. Since you are talking about a kitten, before 3 months old, they would have difficulty eating adult cat biscuits. Most likely someone left you a kitten that is a couple of months old.

A cat/kitten with extra toes most likely means that her/his ancestors interbreed. That usually happens in a colony of feral cats, or from an irresponsible human owner that does not get their cats fixed. I can't pull up the picture, but if it is a tortoiseshell (orange and black) or a calico (orange, black and white) it would most likely (99% chance) be a female. If it is orange or orange and white it is most likely (85% chance) it is a male. Because it is a cat/kitten, it is 99.9% chance it will be a wonderful pet. Take good care of him/her. And please, be a good owner and get him/her neutered/spayed.

I cant see your picture, but that's b/c I am at work. The 6 toes on the one paw means that she is polydactyl (or a Hemingway cat). Its very unusual that it is only on one paw. I have a poly kitty as well but he has the extra toes on both front paws.

The vet will be able to tell you her age by looking at her teeth, the length and amount of wear on them.

I can't see your picture either.. But as for the age issue, vets usually look at the teeth to give an approximate age. Good luck with your new kitten!!

i could no longer get the image to load. common the thank you to be certain: in case you are able to no longer experience ribs fairly without pressing no longer common, he's in all hazard obese. He could certainly have a seen "waist." additionally, you are able to weigh him by weighing your self. Then carry him in case you're on the size and subtract. Feed much less and feed an quite extreme high quality nutrients - no food market nutrients with fillers, man made colours and flavors - study the kit training and feed for the burden he could be and not what he's. Feed eating recurring nutrients if he can tolerate it (mine can no longer). do no longer loose feed (go away nutrients out each and all the time). Get him some workout by playing in case you are able to. Cats could lose slowly - it particularly is excellent for their wellbeing to no longer lose too immediately. Edit - have been given the image to open ultimately - confident he seems somewhat overweight to me, regardless of the hair.
