i have two cats that are just over a year old one is male (stimpy)and the other is female (wren). the male is neutered and they are brother and sister. lately every couple of weeks wren will attack stimpy out of nowhere and no one can get her to stop. she will hiss and growl at everyone who walks by and leaves him with scratches all over and he hides under the couch for hours. i don't want to get rid of her but i don't know what's wrong with her or how to get her to stop. any suggestions or have you been through this?

This cat was purchased from a private home when the kitten was 7 weeks old. I have now had him for 9 weeks. This cat will not stop climbing onto kitchen counters in search of food, even when his bowl is filled with food. I even had to throw away a portable island that I usually keep my bread because he woudl get into there and tear into the bread and eat that! Sometimes my son would leave a plate or bowl on the dining table and the cat would get into that too. I have left food out to cool off after being in the oven and he will get into that too. I have tried spray bottles, putting the cat outside when we eat, even makign surethe cat eats before we do to no avail!!! I am losing patience with this cat!!! I have had cats all my life and usually after a few squirts of bottle water they learn their lesson but not this one...I shoudl be able to to leave a empty plate in the sink once in a while without worrying about if the cat is going to get into it. Any suggestions??

I have two cats, but one of them is really attached to me. Like She's my baby or something. It's fine that she does it, it doesnt bother me at all but I am just wondering why she's so attached? She follows me all around the house every where i go, even to the bathroom. She will cry and cry when she cant find me. So when I hear her cry i call her name so she knows where i am. and she comes running. She's always sitting on my lap. She sleeps on me. And sometimes when she's sleeping like on the couch and i am sitting on the couch, and later i move to the computer desk she will wake up and sit at my feet and then fall back asleep. Is it bad that she is this attached? And how come my other cat isnt this attached to me? I am pregnant should i worry that she will get depressd when that baby comes because she is so attached?

We bought some new cat food 2 weeks ago--the cats hardly eat on it--the possums that come hardly eat on it and since we got it, I have had two cats mysteriously die---where can I get the food analysed? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have given the cats 2 flea baths, bug-bombed the house, sprinkled flea killer on the carpet, and my husband still insists that we have fleas. He has locked the cats in their room until the fleas are for sure gone. Should I hire an exterminator?

Anyone know of a way to deter cats from sleeping on furniture? I'm tired of constantly wiping cat hair off of our couch! I have heard of some people putting foil on cushions. Do any of those sprays work?

It was horrible. She came home and was driving the car into the garage and our kitty got under her tires. I was at work when it happened, and apparently he died pretty quickly. She was an absolute wreck, as you can imagine. He usually avoids the car and the garage, but for some reason the other day he didn't.

I need some advice on how to help her deal with this trauma. She feels awful, and I feel terrible cos I keep crying when I think about how much I miss him but I don't want her to feel any worse than she already does. She doesn't like to talk about it, she keeps seeing him dying right in front of her. (She wouldn't let me see him, she had him wrapped up before I got home, I would've lost it.) Any advice? Has this happened to anyone else?

We took him out to her parents place in the country and buried him in the family pet cemetary. We loved him very much.

I recently had a kitten, female, runt of the litter 7 weeks old. My other cat female, 3 years old also the runt of the litter doesn't seem to be getting on with her. Its only been two weeks so maybe I am expecting too much???
They will sniff each other but then the little one gets a little boisterous and makes my elder cat hiss and spit - what can I do to make sure they have the best possible homelife together.

Another thing as well... my eldest cat has become lots more affectionate and does stay outside anymore than usual so its not as if she's scared of the kitten - maybe they just need more time to adjust???

Our cat Bitty, who is almost a year old, has alway been on the skinny side, bony actually. I thought he had worms so we gave him "Liquid Wormer" for roundworms. We gave it to him last Thursday. Yesterday and today he has absolutely no energy. He has just laid around all night and day. He hasn't been eating like normal or drinking that I've noticed. Could he be having a reaction to the wormer and is it serious? He is doing a little better today but he still doesn't run like normal. That is how I noticed the problem. Normally he is jumping off the walls, and running around like a nut. Yesterday and today he has just laid around. That is not like him. Should I take him to the vet?
