Maine Coons are the coolest cats -- I have one and my mom has one. They're more like cat dogs -- they'll follow you around, some will play fetch, and they are very vocal. The Maine **** possibly came from the six pet cats which Marie Antoinette sent to Wiscasset, Maine when she was planning to escape from France during the French Revolution. The Maine **** is one of the oldest natural breeds in North America.

Maine **** come from Maine (new England)they believe a cat mated with a raccoon and that's how they got their name.
If you want one I suggest going to www.petfinders.com( it might be .org), It's a web site that has listing of shelters and rescue groups and the animals they have for adoption and you can search for a certain breed of animals for adoption in your area. That's how I got my Maine **** cat, the best cat ever.

a main **** cat is a breed of cats that grow up to be HUGE! but they are really sweet and will follow you around the house. I beleive the orginated in New England in the 1700's. My mama has one named Diva she's huge!
