I've got one cat like that -- she's sitting next to me now. It's so sweet when she comes to sit on my lap because she puts her head up on my shoulder (she's a big red tabby), and she'll lie against me almost like a baby. I just love it. My wife refers to this cat as my girlfriend; if she meows to be let into the room, my wife will say "Hey, your girlfriend wants in."
So no, it's not bad that she is this attached. And yes, you should make a point of giving her attention when the baby is born. That can work out really well, by the way; we had a beloved old cat (who lived to the ripe old kitty age of 19) when all our kids were born and growing up, and she ended up loving the children and "teaching" them all about how to behave around cats.
Your own kitty may actually be responding to your pregnancy to some extent; we have five cats, and one of them (not "my girlfriend") is very sensitive to the health of the family (cats and humans alike). So it's possible that she knows something's going on and she's staying close to you to support you and show her affection.
As for why the one cat does this and the other doesn't, cats are all unique individuals with their own personalities, likes and dislikes. I've noticed recently that while all of our cats like us, some of them just like to be in the same room as us while others like to snuggle. I've taken to calling them "proximity cats" and "contact cats," depending on whether they just like to be near us (which is nice) or lie up against us (which can be very sweet, if sometimes annoying).

May I interject some caution with cats and babies? Never leave them alone in the same room, the baby will be too small to push the cat away from its face or body........the cat will be drawn to the smell of the milk and the warmth of the baby, this is perfectly natural.........also be aware of scratches from the cat.....our oldest son came down with cat scratch fever from the cat we had at the time, Scotts hand was danging down out of his crib and the cat playfully scratched him, the infection is a swollen gland under his armpit called a lympth node....he had to be admitted to the childrens ward and treated with antibiotics, he enjoyed all the extra attention he got from the nurses and is doing well now, and has two adult children of his own and a new granddaugher!
.....just be aware of your situation..........and Good Luck.

I have owned my cat in view that she used to be 12 weeks ancient and while she is not dozing, she is following me round, simply looking me at some thing I am doing. When I blank the home windows she sits at the different facet and attempts to assault the rag I am making use of via the glass. I learn a booklet as soon as that mentioned "cats are simply as thinking about us as we're via them", you need to comfortably intrigue her :-) Try gambling together with her in the course of the day or simply earlier than mattress, she usually could LOVE the additional awareness :-) Don't be afraid or freaked out via it, be flattered that this little cat likes you.

Its perfectly normal, she's just bonded to you. You probably got her first. The other cat isn't because she probably is bonded to your cat instead of you. Cats have different personalities like we do. She probably just loves all the attention. Just make sure you give her lots of love once the baby comes so she doesn't feel abandoned.

both my cats are that attached to me. i got them when they were only 6 weeks so im like mommy to them.
your cat may get jealous. you just need to let her know that you still love her and comfort her.
your other cat may not be attached because she sees that the first one is so close to you. she probably doesn't have it in her personality to get attached
your cat will be fine.
