Cats - October 2006

Will you help me find my lost cat & her kittens in Sydney Australia?
My pregnant (recently rescued) cat escaped on her way into the vet on the 9 October and has been missing since. On the 11 october she gave birth in a backyard in balmain, the family were not at all co-operative, hang up on me when I call etc and I don't know if she's still there or not. One of her friends even threatened to kill my cats if I kept looking for my cat. I really need help...please let me know if you can help. I am so upset that I can't just go get her & bring her home. Please help me if you can. Please send me a message if you can help or let me know how i can contact you. I miss her...please help!

well I just went to my vets today for my cats neutering.. he also asked me if i needed to declaw him. I said i would think about it. I know it would obviously not make him scratch stuff anymore. I also just bought a new sofa (being delievered in a few weeks) so i dont want him to start scratching that....I got a scratching post but he doesnt use it.. he used the side of doorways... is it mean to declaw cats? I heard it affects there perasonltiy? help!

Well I have a cat( I currently live in a big house) but I am going to be moving into my own one bedroom apartment soon. I really want to bring my cat with me, but is it okay to have a cat in a little place like that? does anyone out there own a cat in a little apartment? how does the cat do? have you come along any negatives? did he spray in the move? (this apartment allows animals)

She is 15 years old and I haven't changed her food but in the past couple of weeks when she goes in her litter box there is a really bad odor. She also seems to be drinking a bit more than she used to. Has anyone else come across this problem? I'm starting to get a bit concerned.

I have, an old soul of a cat,pain in the bum at times,had her since she was six weeks old,but after 19 years what can you expect,she was deaf,had a wart under one eye and had a matted patch on her back,but we believed she was well enough,and happy,anyway,the other night she was hit by a car and killed instantly,i could deal with that,but a group of teenagers found her body before we could(we were out looking) threw and kicked her about the street while filming it on the phones,then dumped her body in a random wheely bin,sick bastards if you ask me,what a bloody way to end her life,we havnt slept properly since this happened and my 11 year old daughter cant stop crying. Has a crime been commited,or is this worth reporting to rspca? thanks for reading x

She digs into the cat litter like a dog digs a hole, and cat litter is thrown everywhere. I tried to get one of those enclosed litter but she will still throw cat litter out the opening. What can I do?

besides fish and birds I want a kitten please give me some advice?!?!?!?Becaus i really want a kitten pluss even if they do let me they wont buy me anything it really needs. like for example a litter box

She was all happy and playful and then she scooted under my bed like she usually does and when she didn't come out in about 5 mins i checked on her and i relieze that she had died. I'm completely upset. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any explaintion?

1st of all, I know this has gone on for a bit and I am not one 2 rant; if you people must kno my whole life.I offered 2 take my cat Kittie from someone who was going 2 dump her 1 yr ago. I lived in Texas moved to Cali I live with my mom and she already has 4 cats and 1 dog I just added more pets 2 the household.I asked her if it bugged her and she said no I started the spaying process (i was already preg.).she got her shots and 1 day she just showed up w/ a bigger belly (someone let her out) she is an indoor cat.I was so heartbroken because she was about 2 get spayed she had an APPT already.i called the humane about 6 weeks ago 2 schedule an appt 2 get her spayed again and they told me i had 2 wait 8 weeks.now my mom is moving 2 a nicer home and i really don't want 2 have her home full of animals.call me a loser i dont care.there are days where i dont want 2 give her up but i just feel like i need 2. i dont know i dont want 2 sound SELFISH should i just keep her and see how it works?

um. my cat won't let me hold him. he just meows like a dog . and sometmes he even growls. i am not kidding. it's kinda weird

I have a little kitten , his name is Litlle JJ , he loves to play with my old cat coco . She gets really mad when she sees him. He plays with her tail while she eats . He follows her around and chases her. How can I make them get along . nothing mean and cruel . Why does my little cat love to play with her. He has alot of toys . I play with him all the time . I don't ever recall giving away cats being CRUEL. Unless the law changed? It's not like I'm killing them and dumping them on the side of the road. I am offering them to family, friends, and people that want to love a cat. If that is not possible I am resorting LASTLY to the Humane Society. I really don't want to, because I know they just end up putting them to sleep. That is why I offer them to anyone who is loving. I think it's pretty good because all she needs is the spay and not the shots. And it's pretty cheap here but right now I cannot afford it. If you people would be more open hearted to my situation then you would understand. Being rude and leaving insulting comments that make me look like an animal hater doesn't solve anything. I've have my cat over 1 yr and love her but I rent and rules are RULES. I cannot change that. Maybe if you took the time to ASK before you open your mouths you would know where I'm coming from. Thanks to all that left nice comments.

I bought my mum a little Ragdoll kitten. She's white and will end up with a peach face, paws,ears and tail. She has slate blue eyes. Like any kitten she's into everything- but she does seem exceptionally brave and loves to travel in the car. Any ideas?

Why does my kitten's litter smell like strong vinegar/gasoline type smell? I use the paper pellets, "yesterday's news", and I clean it out, the next day it seems to smell again!
