i picked him up off the street a few days ago, and he was filthy. it's been a process cleaning him up. but his nose, every time i clean it, the next morning it's back to a black crust. any ideas what is going on?

Its probably dirt draing from his nostrils and sinus passages. make sure also that you have a GOOD LITTER, and not one that is full of dust. Buy the more espensive brand of litter as it is nOT that much more costly. keep an eye on him, and if it does not stop in a couple of days take him to the Vet to be checked out. Is it hard for him to breathe?? ♥

This is absolutly normal. when my cat it had a pink nose as it got older it became a lot darker than what ir was

Take the cat to the Vet, esp since you found him on the street. he needs his shots.

yep just a runny nose, try to keep your cat in a dry warm place so it doesn't get a cold
