Does anyone know if scoopable kitty litter is bad for cats? My cat was coughing so I took her to the vet today thinking it was from hairballs--he said they don't cough from hairballs and suggested changing my litter--to a dust free one--but I use to use the regular not scoopable litter--anyone know if one is better than another for your cat?

I got two kittens, five weeks ago, they're four and a half months old now, brother and sister. I just realised the other day that the female hasn't made a single noise since I got her. Her brother meows all the time. She meows with her mouth, but no sound comes out. Is it just because she's young, or is it possible she can't make any noise? I will go to the vet with her, but just wanted other opinions. Thanks in advance.

I have a 10 week old kitten tomorrow. I think she is dying but I am not sure. I picked her up today and I noticed that pooped on my shirt, just from picking her up. I also noticed that there was blood in her poop. Can someone please tell me what might be wrong. I have had her for 3 weeks now. When I first got her she was perfectly healthy. She was gaining weight but now I looked at her as she was walking and she looks like she is getting really thin. Please help me. I don't want my kitten to die.

I got a 5 week old kitten yesterday. She is weaned, but will not drink water. She also cries if she cannot see me. Is this normal?

He is also less playful and sleeps more. The veterinarian hasn't made a diagnosis yet. He is waiting for the conjunctivitis to clear. But I'm worried. Any idea would help!

OK, here's the deal; I have a 14lb. male and a 7lb. female. We recently moved, and our new vet is a block away, which is very convenient. We only have one car, and my husband works until 3...so since I'm home, I figured taking the cats to the vet myself would be easy. Just walk them down there in a carrier. However, Lotus had an appointment yesterday, and walking down there with over 7bs. hanging off my arm was a bit uncomfortable. So I'm definitely not going to try lugging Blaze down there in that fashion.

I always thought cat strollers were the most ridiculous thing, but I did tell my husband it would be convenient for walking your cat to the vet. So now I'm considering investing in one. Does anyone here have one or know someone who does? How has it worked out? If it were just for vet visits, I wouldn't be asking, but I figure if I'm going to pay a good amount for one, I might as well take the cats for walks on occasion. Any opinions are appreciated!

EVERY DOG I GOT FROM SHELTER DIED OF PARVO. SO WHY SHOULD I GET A KITTY SINCE THEY WILL DIE OF SOMETHING SIMILAR TOO? AND THEY CHARGE $70 WHEN MY VET ONLY CHARGES $20. WHY ARENT THESE KITTIES WORTH SAVING TOO?

I WILL GET KITTY FROM VET CAUSE THEY ARE DISEASE FREE AND FLEA FREE.

ALL THE CATS AT SHELTERS ARE DISEASED AND FLEAD!!!!!!!!!

I have two female cats both about 8-9 years old. They have lived together for the past 3 years. I never had problems with them until this year.

Every day I find a place or multiple places in the house where one of them has thrown up. I have caught them both doing it. Nothing has changed that I feel would affect them such as a new pet or moving. I have tried changing their food, giving them smaller/ larger amounts of food, multiple bowls/ one bowl. I haven't seen any changes in their behavior.

I asked a vet once what to do and she recommended everything I have already tried.

Can anyone give me an idea of why they might be doing this and what I can do to stop this behavior?

My cat is completely nuts about my earlobe! Since he was a kitten, he latches onto my earlobe whenever he can. Sometimes he's insane trying to get to my ear. I have to hide under the covers from him to get away from him. He is 2-1/2 years old now and keeps wanting to suck ears. It's getting really old! Help. What can I do to stop this behavior? I feel bad denying him my ear because he is so happy and purrs and purrs when he's sucking my ear, but it's really creepy!!!

I swear my cat can convey what he's thinking or feeling through the looks he gives me. I swear he can give dirty looks (and friendly and other looks as well).

My mom found this baby kitten at her work place where it was starving to death. I guess the mother just abandond it. She's a tiny white cat with black ears, black tail, and black feet.

What are your favorite cat names? I like exotic names like Shasta or Shana. Or maybe Lily.

Best name will be chosen Best Answer! :-)

I started bringing my cat to work when he was a kitten, and now I bring him in twice a week. I have heard of people bringing dogs to work, but never cats - I can't be the only cat lover with a cat friendly office.
