I think you are referring to it's testicles!! You Brits speak so darn politely it's hilarious! For a male cat it's referred to as a castration or neuter. For a female it's called a spay. It's a very simple procedure for a male cat and very necessary as "whole" male cats can be very aggressive and nasty. Even worse, they mark their territory and lure females by spraying urine (like a skunk!) The surgery for a male is very simple (compared to a female which involves removing the entire uterus and ovaries). I do not know how much it costs in England, but there are loads of animal welfare organizations all over the world that offer low cost spaying and neutering. Do an internet search in your community. The English love their "moggies"! Good luck!

Testicles is the word you are looking for.

Male cats spray (i.e. void urine) as a territorial mark and cutting off their testicles will not stop this problem. Also, the cats are too old to have the operation with impunity. You will create a number of pissed-off cats if you proceed.

It is not advisable to keep more than one male cat in a house. Find homes for the others quickly. Otherwise they will all be struggling to establish their territories and your house will be redolent of cat pee for all eternity.

I cannot tell you the cost, but how much will you be spending on detergents and deoderants if you ignore this advice?

It is about £50. but you can get it cheaper at a pdsa centre or blue cross if you are on benefits. Then take out Pet Insurance from say like Tescos it cost about £6 a mth. to cover your pet. Well worth it.

It's called neutering. Nothing is cut off. The sperm-making mechanism and the tostosterone- making mechanism is removed from inside the testicles.

Sorry I wouldn't know the cost in England and I am sure they have some low-cost clinics where you can have it done as we have here in the States.

If you are on a low income - student for example - you can sometimes get a voucher towards the cost - about half the price. Ring your local vet & ask

It's called spaying or castrating, cost about £65 depending on where you are. Ask at the RSPCA and they will point you to a free service.

About £40. The PDSA or RSPCA might be able to recommend somewhere cheaper as its in their interests to stop unwanted kittens being born
