Hi there...a cat will not die if fed anything sweet, however it nat get a sour stomach. Overall, isn't recommended unless it suffers from hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Generally, Karo Syrup is used to elevate the insulin levels in this case. (Please see weblink: http://petcare.suite101.com/article.cfm hypoclycemia__in_dogs_and_cats). Most cats do not know if some of the things we eat is good for them as they'll even accidentally drink anti-freeze since it is sweet tasting, yet very toxic where it can be fatal. Most human foods are not good for our pets. Here's a list of those in particular that should be avoided: http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=2&cat=1939&articleid=1030

No the cat won't die. It may get fat and have a heart attack if you feed it a lot of sweets, but too much of any food can do that. It is even difficult to kill a cat with chocolate. They can get pretty sick, but they are not as sensitive to chocolate as dogs. Still, a vomiting cat isn't really worth it. If you'd like to feed Kitty sweets, just make sure that they don't contain cow's milk AT ALL, and small amounts of chocolate.

No, unless that "sweet with sugar" thing is chocolate. A big dose of chocolate could be lethal to a cat.

However, cats lack taste buds for "sweet," so kitty might not like sweet treats. If kitty does go for something sweet, it won't be for the sweetness, it'll be for some other aspect of the item's taste.

No they might throw it back up on your carpet though. Some cats eat sweets or stuff with sugar others dont... my cat personally likes dr. pepper and vanilla/chocolate swirl ice cream.... then again he is a very strange cat.

But anyways, it shouldn't harm them, if it doesn't agree with them they will more than likely throw up or squirt it out.... just use common sense when offering things to your cat, don't offer them like a whole little hersheys chocolate square, or a whole bowl of ice cream....

Well, I fed my cat brownies a couple of times, and she seems to be alright...but I wouldn't feed a cat too much food that has sugar.

If they manage to eat something sweet, no, it won't kill them. But that's no reason to give them sweets. They don't like it anyway since they can't really taste "sweets".

And chocolate is just as bad for cats as it is for dogs.
