Well, if she likes it, it's not going to hurt her. Cats and dogs often eat grass when they are having trouble digesting or are feeling a little ill. We had a cat that liked bananas. As long as you make sure your cat still gets cat food with sufficient protein (as it is a carnivore, naturally) it'll be fine. Nothing in the celery will hurt her if she eats it, but she won't get any nutrients out of it that she can use.

Celery is kind of stringy, she might choke on it. Just let her lick your hands if you don't mind that sort of thing. Or you could crush some celery and squeeze the juice out in a bowl for a special treat. My mom had a cat that ate cantaloupe, and another one that would knock you down to get to Noxema. We never let him eat the Noxema, but he'd go nuts trying to get it. He was a little wierd.

The good thing is the fluids in the celery will keep the cat hydratred when your not home!

Celery shouldn't harm the cat, though I don't think it's something a cat would enjoy eating. Who knows, it might help with digestion. A side FYI: onions however are harmful to cats, they are linked in studies to feline anemia.

celery is hard to eat and the cat may choke if you cut it into little pieces like the size of a dime i think it will be just fine

There's no reason why not. I'd cut it up into small pieces, though. I used to have a cat that ate the occasional piece of lettuce and orange peel and it never hurt her, so some cats will eat almost anything.

maybe someone else might know for sure, but I don't think that it will hurt him to have one or two of the pieces. but cats are not vegatarians they are carnivors so the need meat.

If your cat doesnt have any side effects from it, then it won't hurt her. my cat loves eating cheese and the occasional ice-cream treat.
