I have a 10 week old kitten tomorrow. I think she is dying but I am not sure. I picked her up today and I noticed that pooped on my shirt, just from picking her up. I also noticed that there was blood in her poop. Can someone please tell me what might be wrong. I have had her for 3 weeks now. When I first got her she was perfectly healthy. She was gaining weight but now I looked at her as she was walking and she looks like she is getting really thin. Please help me. I don't want my kitten to die.

It is really important that a kitten be wormed. They always have worms and are born with them. That would explain her weight loss and bowel problems.

Please take the kitten to a vet. This is a life-threatening situation and you can not let a kitten die so needlessly.

If you have money problems you might call and ask if the vet would sell you the pills without an exam. You must be prepared for a vet visit soon as your kitten will need to start a series of shots to prevent her getting distemper, from which she could also die.

Get the medication from a vet. Do not use over-the-counter medications. You will risk her life if you use something too strong or inappropriate for the type of worms she has.

Has she been to the vet, yet? Has she been dewormed? Blood in the stool is not that uncommon, especially in kittens. If she hasn't been dewormed, or it wasn't done enough times or with a good dewormer, she might just have intestinal parasites. She may just have an irritated bowel from treats or changes in diet. Or, there may be something else going on. It's best to call your vet, but a little blood in the stool, isn't much to stress over too much as long as she's eating and drinking, no vomiting or severe diarrhea, coughing, sneezing and she's active and playful. Take your vet a fresh stool sample, or give them a quick call and see what they want you to do.

when blood is in a humans stool it usually means there is a severe problem in their intestines, your your body is bleeding internally somewhere. you have a really big problem on your hands. there are a million things that could be causing this problem, and you don't have time to try a home remedy to see if the problem betters itself. your lucky your kitten is still alive right now. kittens have very small bodies, so the whole fact you can even see the blood in the stool at all says she has a very big problem. your kitten is loosing blood, and very likely has a severe internal problem. your vet is the only person that can handle this type of situation. if you cannot afford to take her to a vet, while one of the yahoo! answers above me was very correct, you should not have taken on the responsibility if you could not afford it, the humane society will at least be able to euthanize her, and put her out of her misery..

It is common for kittens to get serious infections when transitioned from nursing to other milk. This case sounds serious and you should see a vet (first time I've given that advice) or consider getting a new kitten after you bury this one. Also, it is very likely that your kittens digestive system was not ready for whatever you are feeding it. If you are going to save the kitten, get the proper diet from the vet.

Try to feed her a pan of milk. Is she whimpering way too often? That may be a sign she is in pain and dying. If you can, take her to the vet. But really, the vet will just charge a lot. If she's whimpering and won't eat she is probably not healthy and most likely dying.

Take her to the vet TODAY!!!!! She may have a chance of surviving if you.do. From what you said , if you waste any time getting her help, she won't be alive in the morning. If you see blood in feces, there is something very wrong. Get off this puter and get that kitten to some real help while you still can. Good luck, do hope she's get's ok.

She needs a vet IMMEDIATELY!!! There are a variety of illnesses she could have, including FIP, which is always fatal. Anytime a cat has blood in it's stool it needs a vet. If she is unable to hold her bowels that is another major problem.

While she may have just eaten something dangerous, without a vet she most likely will not survive.

I don't want to sound rude here but how many times do we have to tell people that pets like humans need their shots as babies. They need to see a vet so they can be examined. It's not that expensive if you think about it. The money people use going out to dinner or on a date can easily be spent for the first few weeks of a pets life to ensure they will have a life at all.

They need their vaccinations! TAKE YOUR PET TO THE VET!!

CALL YOUR or A VETERINARIAN and ASK HIM/HER what is wrong with your pet. I am not so proud to not go without something so my pet can have his/her health and life.

I don't know what is wrong with people these days. If you CARE for your PET then you will TAKE your PET to the VET!!!!!

your kitten is very sick better not wait to long to get medical attention.Once they start going down hill they can go very quickly. Its probably very dehydrated as well,a good way to check that is to grab a small amount of skin on the top of its neck let it go if it snaps back quickly its OK but if it goes back slowly its very dehydrated .You can see how quickly the skin should go back by grabbing the skin on your hand and letting it go ,it should snap back as quick on your kitten. It doesn`t mean your kitten isn`t sick if its showing no signs of dehydration.that just shows how serious the condition is getting and how quickly you could lose your kitten

Take her to the vet. That could be a really bad worm infestation, and worms can finish a kitten off quick. It could be something worse....vet, vet, vet....now.
