Male cats roam plenty. they may well be long gone an afternoon, now and lower back a week. He did no longer 'run away', he's 'cattin' around'. this is distressing which you could ask your self approximately your cat... while he will come abode and IF he would be injured while he does. the terrific thank you to get a male cat to end roaming is to get him neutered ASAP. it is going to likely be greater healthy for him, shop him from entering into cat fights, and in all hazard lessen his spraying some, too. the beforehand, the greater suitable. Seven months is plenty sufficiently previous to get this finished. in any different case, he will shop cattin' around, and mating season could be the worst, for this is while the boys attempt to tutor who's the 'massive cat'. A prayer does not injury the two. yet attempt to no longer situation plenty, they be responsive to the place house is. :) perhaps attempt to inspire him by way of calling him some, diferent cases of the day. stable success to you and your new kitty.

They can be from different cat dads! Cats have the ability to breed with multiple partners and you can get all kinds of weird looking kittens. On top of that, genetics. Dominant and recessive genes, like blue eyes and brown eyes can run in a family, the parents carry the genes, and then pass them down to the kids. (In this case, kittens) So your kitty might have all different colors in her genetic makeup, and so the kittens come out all different colors! I actually dont know how I know all this about cats, but Im not lying to ya!

Beacuse cats are not like dogs. They are "mutts" really and can be many different colors. That is why it takes SOOOOO long to get a new dog breed. The latent colors can crop up for many generations. Cats often are impregnated by several males in one pregnancy too!!! That will ad to the variety fo colors!!!!
The size of the litter does NOT depend on how many times the cat has sex. Cats ovulate many eggs at one time, so several can be fertilized by one male, whith one breeding!!

Some get genes from mom, some get genes from dad, some get a mixture. It is also very common for a cat to have kittens and the litter of kittens can have 2 (or more) different dads. It is not uncommon for female cats to mate with multiple males when they are in heat.

For the same reason people's children don't all come out the same. A good analogy would be to compare a cats spots with a human's birthmarks. They come out differently on each person.

My vet said that color is not determined by the mother which is why the cats can all look totally different even from each other altho my old cat had twins in her litter.

Female Cats have sex with several males when they are in heat to make sure that when the kittens are born all the males wont attack them because they cannot identify which kitten is their baby and which isnt. This conduct is based on instinct and to ensure survival of the litter.

because it is really based on the father of the cat. I had a cat once that I know that he and his brother came from the same dad because they had similar markings and it looked liked one of the cats in the neighborhood

It depends on how many tom cats mom has been with. Each baby could have the characteristics of each male cat that mom has been with during that pregnancy
