Oh yes! Cats are very expressive with their eyes and some even more with total facial expressions.
We recently had to put to sleep Misha, our Himalayan, and she would glare, snort at us, and mrrrrrrr at us if she didn't like something or was mad.
Our Persian, Earl Grey, glares if he thinks we are laughing at him or if we accidentally see him cleaning himself or using the litter box.
We also had a calico, Prissy, for many years that could give looks of disdain far better than any other animal or human I've ever known. Too bad she couldn't have given acting lessons!
The expressive nature of animals is part of what makes them such a joy to have around.

Absolutely. My cat can can either look at me with so much love and affection I feel like the best person in the world, then she can give me the meanest, crustiest look ever and I want to hide under the bed!!

Yes, but it's learned by contact with humans. We see what we want to see. Cats convey emotion by tail movements. But you know your own cat so you can pretty much predict its disposition... I think my cat does the same as yours and well, these cats know we're whipped! LOL!

Cats have the ability to change their expressions, at the wink of an eye. All I have to do is look at my cat, & I know whats on his mind, especially if he's in a zippy mood .

They can... believe me, the one that I have will give you this "go to hell you are bothering me" look and then the next its like the big set of eyes that Puss In Boots gets on Shrek 2.... its so cute... but hey cats each have their own personalities and their own facial features.

I think they can~ my b/f's cat hates me ...she gives me these evil looks when I walk in the house or when we hug. And she will jump on his lap when I'm sitting next to him and she will give the the dirtiest looks when I try to get her off him. At first I thought it was funny but now I wonder is she is going to attack me one of these days. I told my b/f that she doesn't like me but he says i'm crazy~ even though he has seen the looks that she gives me.

yes.I can tell by looking at my cat's face exactly what kind of mood he's in. It's weird, but unless you own a cat you wouldn't believe such a thing.
