I dont think Calico is a breed but more a color but I agree, very pretty cats. My favorite cat and one that I hope to have one day is a Scottish fold! They are just too cute with their little flat ears. Maybe I could get one in a calico coat and have the best of both worlds :)

I had a calico, too! Sasha was wonderful. I also had a Maine Coon at one time, and a tabby-with-white (mostly white with some tabby markings). I love them all.
A friend had two gorgeous Ragdoll cats, but they were quite expensive. One of my favourite is orange or "ginger" cats. But the calico and tortoise shell have beautiful markings. I hope you're very happy with your pet.

Most cats are gorgeous - Maine Coons, British Blues, Silver Tabby Persians .... but I think my fave breed is a "non-breed", the good ol' moggie. You know the sort of cat, the one that has lots of places to visit, can take care of itself and has the skills and attibutes of many other breeds.
The long and dense fur of the Maine Coon to keep warm, the vocality of the Siamese, the charm and hunting talents of the tabby. Maybe a nick or two in the ear and a kink in the tail to show a life of excitement, determination and experience. As I said before, not a breed as such, but worth celebrating and cherishing. Let's hear it for the moggie!!!

Siamese. I have three. One is a torti-pointe, which is the rough equivalent of a calico Siamese. The points are all calico mixed colors instead of solid dark.
