My Pancake, love her to death, is kind of driving me insane. She is a calico type cat and is nearing 9 months old. For starters I've never owned a cat before her. She will follow me around everywhere and wait outside of doors for me to come back. She won't let me pet her at all but she will sit on me and lick me. She is constantly meowing and sounds so very sad. When I first got her at 5 months old she grew to "love" me and would let me love all over her. I've never mistreated her and kept her area cleaned and her stomache full. What in the world could be the matter? My vet says its normal for her to do this, but I don't thinks so.

I've set up a new website aimed at street cat rescue at
www.kittiesinthehood.com
It has a live streaming video going, including over the cats in need of rescue at night. I can't get anywhere near the top in a google search under cat rescue, but until today it had been going well, but today my numbers plummeted. Any idea why? Please feel free to check the site out & let me know what you think?
Thanks

My friends cat just recently moved in with me. I have never seen a roach untill tonight (3rd night the cats been here). Im wondering if perhaps this is because i leave a big bowl of water out all day for her. I dont want her to be uncomfortable, but I wonder if she will be okay with a big bowl in the morning (10ish) and a big bowl later on and, nothing over night. I feel terrible doing this but had you seen the size of this roach you would understand.

I rescued a kitten from the streets. When I rescued her she still had the film over her eyes. She wouldn't eat solid food, just milk for almost 4 weeks. Now she plays, eats solid food and will use a litter box.

My vet says it takes them a bit to adjust to the permanence of the situation. They used to be indoor only and now they can play outside in the garden. They also have a couple new brothers and are adjusting to the new, "hierarchy".

My daughters teacher is giving a kitten away to me. She says they eat on there own and just need a home. What do I really need to but to be prepared for them. I know I need a litter box and a bed right. But what else do I need. what do I need to buy. so it won't scratch me or my furniture so much.

Missy is 18 yrs old. She stopped eating several days ago, has lost a whole lot of weight, is boney, weak, and is sleeping a lot. She can hardly walk. She still purrs a little when I pet her and talk to her.

My cat is getting fixed tomorrow. He's a male cat. The vet left a message on our answering machine that the cat can't eat afer midnight tonight. Does this mean he can't have water either or is he allowed to have water tonight?

She's an indoor, declawed 12 yr. cat , my "baby". She jumps over every doorway and creeps around the house like there's something here. I know I had mice before, so she's heard them in the walls! I just say "hey!" or whatever and she jumps, all 4's come off the floor. I feel sorry for her, but I've lived here for 10 yrs. and you would think she would feel at home by now and not so scared! How can I help her from being so scared of every little noise? Thanks for the help.

He has always insisted that the litter box be cleaned daily. Lately, he has decided that the corner in the livingroom is his spot of choice. We took him to the vet and he checked out fine. We have tried rubbing his nose in it and yelling at him, but that does not work. He seems to be going at night. We know right away when he has not used the litter box because he tries to slink away when we get up in the morning.

My husband, daughter (18 months), and I live in an apartment. I am thinking about adopting an adult cat from Safe Haven. that way it has its shots, is neutered, litterbox trained and we will have an idea of its temperament. Someone said that male cats are more lovey. Is this true? We want a calm, lovey, indoor cat that will be good with our daughter and not an indifferent snob like some cats are. Is one gender more prone to these characteristics than another? Thanks!
