Question is From My 8 year old- "Why does Lilith (our cat) look at me like I am some big retarded cat but she still loves me? She scratches things alot and right now she just scratched my butt- I dont' know why!!"

okay for your 8 year old, Lilith(great name by the way) is just being a cat...cats like you to think they dont like you or that the look down on you as if they are better than you when in all reality they LOVE you!!! they want to be with you & if Lilith is anything like my Oona she will ALWAYS be in the same room as you & follow you around but then when youwant to pet her or call her she looks at you like you must be crazy!!! or in the words of your 8 years old like your sum big stupid cat!! lol they like to think they are in control & they are the boss....its just in cats nature! luv her up!!! she luvs you ...no matter what she trys to make you think! =D

that is because she is a cat and thats what they do. Also she loves you so she wannts to play with you but scratched you instead!
