they are independent and still carry the traits of the big cats.

But why do people love dogs when you have to clean up their poo and they smell and they slobber and bark and bite?

Everything can make you sick. Food, air, weather, animals... everything. People prefer pets that match their own personalities and maintenance levels. I am a cat person because I love animals in general but I don't have the time to devote to all of the care necessary to keep a dog healthy and happy. Walks, baths, grooming, training, taking the dog out throughout the day, cleaning up its messes, dealing with the smell and the slobbering and the jumping on people... I would far perfer to have a cat that just uses the litterbox and requires just the amount of attention my lifestyle allows me to give. Also, I've never gotten sick from a cat or heard of anyone getting sick from a cat. I've heard of far more incidents of people being attacked or getting rabies from dogs.

Cats don't make everyone sick, they are companions... that's why. They have unlimited unconditional love....For you. They make you feel special. They 'll love you no matter what. They are the loving things that keep you going. When you came home, after a hard day, they are there. They cuddle with you and can tell when your sad. They are wonderful creatures. And every and anything needs love.

Who said cats can make you sick? You can make other people sick if you're sick and don't practice good hygiene, in fact you're more likely to get a bad infection from a human bite than from a cat bite. I love my cats, they are part of my family. They are low maintenance, smart and love me unconditionally.

except people with allergies it is very hard for a cat to make you sick since its germs are genus born, and we are still of a different genus last time i checked. i don't think we evolved from cats. however keeping your environment clean as well as your cat is equally important as cleaning the toilet. touching feces will cause infections and you do not have to see it for it to be there. also dirt in skin will cause infections so watch those scratches and disinfect. so would you rather have a rat or a cat?

These days and ages, just about everything can make you sick. If you won't have a cat because they make you sick, you shouldn't breathe, eat, drink, play, have sex either. And just live in a bubble.

I was allergic to cats untill I got one years ago. After having him for a few months I guess I got used to him... no more allergies.
Dogs will love you almost no matter what,...
Where as cats, well you have to earn their respect & loyalty.

The same could be said of dogs. The reason why we love our pets is because they are loyal and there for you when people are not. They can make you laugh. They don't get mad at you when you raise your voice to them. They give you kisses and sit with you when you are down and depressed. They are good companions.

because they are cats...if you don't love cats you'll never understand.
I have chronic asthma and allergies and I live with multiple cats (have to I have a sanctuary) I would die quicker without them than with them. All my Docs gave up trying to talk me into getting rid of them...It will NEVER happen.
They give me.....humanity or should I say they taught me how to be human. Without them I would be one mean, angry, bitter, BIT*H!
Now I am just a little mean, angry and bitter (and the latter...well). LOL
