They are both too young to spay, and neuter. They jump and run around the house from 3am to 6am, tearing up my couch, clawing, jumping on me, making all kinds of noise, tearing out my toilet paper rolls, and dragging it everywhere. They have a scratching post, that only the female uses, and a ton of toys, but no!!! They want to pounce on me, and wake me up! I also can't seem to get the male to use the post to sharpen his claws. My son plays with both of them all day long, so I don't understand their energy in early morning. HELP!

I was with my dad for a week and i had left my cats with my mom while i was gone.
so after one week of vacation, i come back, and i see my cats my first one was okay, my second one was normal, but my girl cat her voice/meow was scratchy, deep it sounded like she had some thing in her throat(which she didn't, but she still was happy to see me). it was different from all the voices/meows she used to make; i also looked in my cat book but it didn't say anything....do you know whats wrong with her?

I know quite a bit about kittens and cats, and I've never seen this before. I have two other cats and neither of them had these on them. I gave her a flea bath, and they died but I'm concerned as to what they might be. She wasn't itching or scratching. She had ear mites, but they are white and microscopic, so it isn't them.

If you have 1 cat that is inside, never goes outside. Do you have to get the 1 year check with all the shots? I say yes, but my sister herd different.

My Roomie was told she should line the kitty box with an adult diaper instead of kitty litter, 'cause the kitten will inhale the kitty litter and get sick. Do you know anything about this?

my girlfriend has a 13 year old cat. recently we went on vacation and left him home alone with adequate food and water for about a week. she told me when he was much younger he was trained on littler to do his business and for whatever reason it was switched to ripped up little pieces of newspaper in a plastic box. in preparation for this trip she went and got some real kitty littler to replace the news paper. we notice that when its time for his littler/ newspaper to be changed and you waited to long he will do his business on the living room floor which is carpeted bad kitty. when we came back from vacation there was surprises all over the floor. we cleaned up everything changed his ghetto litter box and thought everything was going to be back to normal. he refuse to go in the box with the kitty litter so we change back to the ripped up pieces of newspaper. not once has this cat use the damn litter box. how can we retrain him to use the box again. carper and couch smells like piss.

I've read some of these lame damn questions and answers on the site about why people want to breed their pets and here's (some) of their answers to why: just because I can, I want my female to go through the birthing process because she will be nicer, I want to share her, I want kits/pups from her, and she's "special". that is sooooooo stupid. people are just down right ignorant in my opinion. they're NOT breeders. there are millions and millions of cats/dogs put down each year because there is just no home for them. these people are just increasing the huge problem! they're not helping our societys shelters and SPCA's at all! they're just too feakin LAZY to get their animals spayed/neutered. I for one say to everybody: SPAY/NEUTER YOUR CAT/DOG!!!!!!!!!! what do you think? anyone agree with me?

She climbs up walls, runs through the house as fast as she can, and attacks anything- even if it's not moving. She is spade, I thought that would calm her down but no. I don't want another pet. And she has a lot of toys...I know she is going to be very active cause she is a kitten but I atleast want her to stop climbing the walls...Any ideas?

I just got married and my hubby is not too excited about my cat. He has a very sensitive nose, so I want to make sure he NEVER smells her litter box. For the record, he has never asked me to get rid of her...but I know litter box smells bother him and I want to make him happy. I need to know which cat litter does the absolute most incredible job ELIMINATING odors (yes, yes, I know I have to clean it frequently as well!). Thanks so much!

I have a 1 1/2 year old male cat. About 8 weeks ago we noticed he had lost a lot of weight almost over night (about 8 lbs). I've dewormed him with whip, tape and round worm wormers. His fecal tests were all negative but we wormed him again anyway. His blood tests are normal, negative for FIV or Heartworm. He eats normal, drinks lots of water, bowels are normal (no worms), no vomitting, very active still, friendly and playful. Just losing lots of weight. I also have a 1 year old female cat and she is not sick at all. They share food and water bowls and share a litter box. She is an inside/outside cat, he is strictly inside. Neither one have fleas.

The only thing wrong with him is reoccuring ear mites. Would ear mites cause weight loss like this? She does NOT have ear mites.

ive been asking alot of questions this week with my kitten, thank you for everyone who has answered and helped me. She started out with a URI (or so we thought) and yesterday she was taken in again and they noticed her ears were yellow and urine was dark orange. There was nothing i could have done and her chances where less than 50% even with treatment. I had her put down just because she was suffering so much. Just a word of advice for all owners with a small sickly kitten, have them checked twice! Most are born with it and nothing can be done, but it can save alot of heart ache for the owner and kitten.

She has a really unhealthy sounding meow but she's very playful. I've noticed that she often times will lick me and then start nibbeling on me. I know she's just playing but it hurts. She nibbles on my fingers and my toes. Is that normal?

My cat is getting into fights with the cat belonging to the people who live 2 doors down the road. He has many scratches, scabs and cuts, and he is now scared of going outside, eating his food, using the cat flap, and is very tense and on edge all the time. Is there anything I can do to stop this other cat from coming onto our driveway and mercilessly bullying the hell out of my cat? Please help me, I am really worried for my cat.

I will go to the university soon, and since the university is 5 hours away from my house, I will have to move. I don't know if I should bring my cat with me or not. I mean, I know he loves me very much and would probably miss me, I would too. But he's used to living here, and I know he loves my parents too. There's also another cat where I'll live for uni, and my cat usually gets jealous when there are other animals. Anyway, I don't know what to do. I'd miss my cat very much though.
I hope this doesn't sound stupid. Opinions?
