my vet recommended science diet (even gave me 2 sample packs) hard kitten food. my kitten wasn't eating it. he i only 1 pound & i think it is too hard for his teeth. i bought the soft science diet & he will eat around the hard. now he won't eat that either. so today i gave him some 9 lives adult soft cat food mixed in & he ate the whole thing. i thought science diet was the best for his growth but he won't eat the soft or hard? what should i do? i think the 9 lives smells better & that's y he likes it.

But my mom tells me he cries whenever I'm away.

It's so cute.. When I went to the bathroom, my mom says he stayed there until I came out, trying to look under the door. Aww..

But whenever I'm near he runs away. Is this normal?

Is this some kind of playing with me?

He also sometimes goes to me so I pet him. And he also sleeps on my bed. For some reason he doesn't like his box, where I put my old blanket, but rather likes my bed.

She is almost two years old, and we have never had a problem with her missing her litter before. Wondering if there are other signs we should be looking for.

Does anyone have any ideas for cat toys that I can make and not have to buy? My cat really likes to play with shoelaces but that seems to be all.

I brought my cat over to a friend's place and all of a sudden the cat starts desperately trying to dig a hole in the carpet and lets loose with the worst bout of runs I have ever seen. My buddy is really mad at me. What could I have done?

My cat will be turning 5 yrs old this August. He has been fixed and weighs roughly 16 lbs. I'm just curious, will he encounter health problems like a human would for being so large for his age? Should I put him on a diet or something? Are there even such diets for cats?

I appreciate all replies, well thought out or not, especially if they're amusing. I won't forget about this question like most do - best answer will be selected when I come upon it. Thanks!

It sounds like there's a woodpecker in the living room. Should I carpet the whole house? Or just stop letting mice run free through the house?

My cat is indoor outdoor so she gets plenty of exercise, however, she has this patch of dangly fat on her stomach that hangs when she walks. At first I thought it was winter fat, but it didnt go away.

Any ideas on why its there and how to get rid of it?

I adopted a four year old cat from the Humane Society. Do I have to keep her name that she came with or can I change it?

Hey, my girlfriend brought home a really cute little cat a couple months ago, to add to our other two cats. She's between 1 and 2 years old.

The new cat won't poop in her box! We have a separate box for each cat, but the cat poops on the garage floor, mere steps away from her box! Needless to say, it's annoying at best, and borders on disgusting.

She's a sweet little cat, so drowning her is out of the question.

We've tried a few things, like holding her, and showing her where to poop, whilst picking up her floor-poop and dropping it in the box, then covering it.....We've kept the boxes clean, so no nasty paw-clingers, and we've tried scolding her, etc.

My next move, if she doesn't comply, will be to cook her into a stew.....I don't want to do that. Please help!

Well, when god created the cat, god remembered to include Cleanliness in its programing. But when god created the dog, god forgot to finish or got distracted, which is why dogs poop all over creation and fart when you least expect it.
Its strange, for all the years I've had a cat or two, not a single one of them have ever farted. Though I have heard and seen dogs do it from time to time.
