That is fine .
I have 3 cats and 1 litter box .
Only thing is that there might be a problem if 2 or more have to go at the same time .
Then you'll have a cat fight on your hands .
And something else on your carpet >__< .

is ok to have 1 litter box for 3 cats. just keep it clean.

i have 3 cats, and 3 litter boxes, 2 larger ones and a smaller one. i clean them all everyday.

I have 4 cats ! litter box. I scoop 3x a day and wash it out 1x a week. They are fine.

If you use only one box, be sure to clean it every single day.. You can't miss one day of cleaning it, and I don't mean "scooping". Really, you should have 2 boxes. Bacteria builds up really fast. Not to mention harmfull to you and your cats, ammonia.
