My cat is indoor outdoor so she gets plenty of exercise, however, she has this patch of dangly fat on her stomach that hangs when she walks. At first I thought it was winter fat, but it didnt go away.

Any ideas on why its there and how to get rid of it?

Was she spayed? If so, that's the reason.

It's the same with humans; the uterus has ligaments that hold that part of the abdomen tight, and when the uterus is removed, it loses that tightness. Over time, it will begin to sag.

I'm not sure if the vet can fix that; you'd have to ask.

i have two female cats who are slim, but also have flab on their bellies. i heard this happens after they are spayed as both my cats are. maybe it weakens their stomach muscles. i had a c-section and wasn't able to do much for a month and a half and my tummy has never been the same. maybe it's the same thing w/ female cats. just guessing.

My cat has slightly flab less than her abdomen that sways at the same time as she walks and he or she has been spayed. i ought to take the cat to the vet once you're feeling lumps, that's probable not something yet its wonderful to get it checked and also you ought to offer up stressful.

Don't worry. Cats have very loose skin. It is probably not fat. My cat is very athletic and he has a little flab, too. It is healthy.

Was she operated or something? It might be because of that. And no, if it is that, you cannot really get rid of it.
