sometimes, I'll come home from work, and the cat will have dragged the blanket from the couch all the way down the hall. the furthest he's got is to the bedroom door.

why would he do that? the blanket is big and awkward, and probably gets caught on things like the coffee table. I've never seen him do it, cuz it's only when I'm not around!

Strange question I know, but a neighbor has 5 week old kittens she's giving away and after visiting them a few times I've noticed fleas on all of them. Is that normal with such young kittens and can you ever get rid of them completely?

My kitten had little itty worms. THey would dry up in a matter of minutes but it was nasty. Anyway, I took my kitten to the vet today and I forgot to ask. How soon after getting the deworming injection will the worms disappear? Will the come out dead, will they stop coming out. How does it work?

My cat just gave birth today and all the other kittens meow perfect. one however doent meow, it only opens it mouth. It really looks like it wants to meow; is there something sreiously wrong with her, or is she going to be okay. i wont be able to take them to the vet for about 2 weeks! and i dont really want to lose such a cute and wounderful baby.

He never urinates on the carpet, just on the plastic mat (same kind as used under office chairs). I keep cleaning it! Just bought all new stuff thinking it was his smell. But I'll have to get rid of him if he doesn't stop. I have had him for 4 years and he has never done this before. It runs off the mat, onto the carpet, and makes the house smell! Help me understand :(

My spayed cat has decided she will no longer use the litter box. She does her business near the box, but not in it. She also likes the bathtub. She is not old, or sick. She is eating normally. She does not appear to have worms. The litter boxes are all cleaned regularly. I have not changed the brand of litter, or added new pets to the family. Any ideas what she might be trying to tell me?

I have two other cats whose names both start with "G" and would like to give her a "G" name as well. So female "G" name suggestions would be awesome. I already have Gabrielle so that is out. Thanks so much!!!

I mean food like meat, chicken, Whiskas tender bites, and the kind.

Also, what other "wet" foods can I feed my cat?

I've had my cat for almost 2 years which is how old he is. He's content with me and my brother, but everyone else in the family he's scared of. He's too much of a scaredy cat and gets jumpy all the time. like when he was eating, someone came next to him so he quickly stopped eating and ran outside. and then when ever someone gets next to him or he hears footsteps he runs away. Can anyone offer me any advice/techniques to socialize him and make him more comfortable around people. he's friendly with stray cats and other animals for some reason, but not people.

He came home one day and I noticed that he just stayed in the corner where he lays his head (right side) against the wall. His eyes are swollen, totally unresponsive, not eating, not drinking. He's not even lying down because I think he's incapable so he just stands with his head against the wall but his body is kind of syawed on the other side. He walks in circle again and again and looses his balance. He can't even turn his head when he wants to scratch his lower neck no matter how hard he tries. The thing is I'm not sure if he's sick, got infected, or got injured that might have affected his brain. I honestly need your ideas as to why this might be happening to my cat. Any remedies are greatly appreciated since I can't afford a vet. Please help me. It really breaks my heart.

They appear to be only days old. She has let me pet her and feed her in the last week only. We have other cats outside as well as foxes and coyotes around the area. We have a space in the basement that we can set her up a shelter to raise her kittens. Is this a wise thing to do? There is no other close place for her to take her kittens other than some more bushes at the front of the house. There is a mean female cat and a male cat that live on our back porch that we feel could spell dangerous to the newborn kittens. Do we take a chance and catch the mother and kittens and hope she is comfortable raising them inside? We feel this is their best chance of survival. Any helpful experience would be appreciated.

I am curious about those who have animals with problems/disabilities and still love your pet(s) no matter what. I spent 80 dollars four years ago on my cat when I got her at an animal shealter. She was a stray that was laying on someone's car engine and when they started up their car, it took off her left hind leg and left ear and her left pupil stays a little more dialated than her right eye, yet her long tail is still there (amazingly). But I want stories and such, because no matter what, animals love you. And they dont let their disability slow them down. Animals dont look for pity, only love. Its an inspiration to me, really. Feel free to brag about your animal.
My cat's name is Jade, by the way.
