My cat is 13 years old. She has forever shunned people food and would only eat cat food. Recently, like the last few months, she has taken to eating people food. Whether it be off the floor around the bottom of my son's highchair, or right out of the bowls that the food is sitting in!

I am concerned because she has also recently been seeming really thin, like you can feel her spine.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this?

My cat had the flu and I took him to the vet last week. I have been giving him antibiotcs since then two times a day. His runny nose is completely gone and all he has now is an occasional sneeze. The problem is that since last week he hasn't eaten much and some days he doesn't eat anything at all. I was hoping that someone could tell me why my cat is not eating. Thak you for any info you can give me.

Ok, my cat had kittens and then she died. I started feeding them by hand, most died and then I found a mother cat that had her kittens killed. I have had her for about 1 week and she has done an exceptional job.

Ok, now the weird part. She has about 8 teats (nipples). The 2 on the very top never get used. Well today I was holding her and felt something hard. I looked at it and it appeared to be a teat but also as if something was stuck in her like a rock. After examining her a bit, I barely touched it and it fell off????? I was like what the ? I looked at the other one directly across from it and it had actually already fallen and they were seriously infected. I put some gloves on and squeezed it to get the infection out and all of this dryed milk came out.

I HAVE NEVER IN MY 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH ANIMALS SEEN THIS!

Has anyone ever seen this happen? Had it happen or heard of it?

PLEASE DO NOT SAY THAT I SHOULD TAKE HER TO THE VET BECAUSE I WILL MON

appears like i'm frustrated, and i am. my older domestic short hair is so needy...wants to be next to me and on me all the time. i've had cats all my life, and she is the most annoying. she is up to date on vacs, and she is healthy.... but she gets in my way and is underfoot all the time, in the bedroom, the bathroom, EVERYWHERE!!!

My cat just had kittens, now the mother has become very weak. I have stepped in as a surrogate to help out. I have been bottle feeding (the ones that let me) for a week now and I am uncertain on how often I should be stimulating their bowels. The kittens are 3 to 4 weeks old. Bare in mind, the mother still tends to them as often as she can. From what I tell she stimulates there bowels at least 1x per day. She still feeds them, but she gets up after about 5min. this goes on 24 hrs a day. The runt is unable to find a nipple within that amount of time so he never got to eat. The rest of the litter (4 all together) don't get enough to eat in 5 min. so when she leaves the kittens they try to folow her because their still hungry. I read that there feedings need to be every 2 hrs. Stimulating them to go to the bathroom every 2 hrs. seems awfully extensive. Does anyone have information regarding this?

I recently found out that my cats have worms. All 3 of them! I know they're worms but I don't know what kind, I've treated them for roundworms, with over the counter Hartz medicine. Anyways, what kind of worms do they have so I can properly treat them (with over the counter medication)? They are only ever around my cat's butts... they're white and don't seem to have any texture, just look like white drips of something. When one falls and I look at it, it moves... it sometimes gets long and skinny, and sometimes it shrinks and gets fat. Are these tapeworms?

I have tried tying a brick to it and throwing it in a pool so that its head is barely above water, and then I make small waves that go over his cute sopping wet head, I have tried burying the cat up to its head and getting the weed eater and whipping one of his ears off and I accidentally whipped its nose off too, I have tried placing a golf ball on its head and swinging for a hole in one, I have tried using its exposed head as a football tee and practicing my field goal kicks, I have tried pissing on its squirming head until it gets thirsty enough to drink it up, I have put a sprinkler near its head in order to cool it down on those hot summer nights, I have sprinkled dogfood on and around his head so that our 3 legged dog benji could eat his meal and lick the cat while he's at it, I have tried putting a birthday hat on his head and smashing a cake in his face as he is meowing, I have even farted in his face and all he did was close its eyes.

She was sick with a cold and sneezed alot about a month ago. She got better after about a week so I didn't see a reason to get her checked out at the vet. Well, 4-6 weeks later and she has this terrible harsh raspy meow. Sounds like she's been a smoker for 25yrs. Otherwise she seems healthy. Eating, pooping just fine. That voice! Do you think there may be something wrong?
