They are about a week or two difference in ages. The oldest one is the one that goes at it til I catch her. It's weird.

It's affectionate and to make them feel safe and comfortable. I had a kitten suck on her UNCLE'S teats until she was about 7 months old. It was weird, and I always got her off of him... but that just goes to show you... He always had wet little circles all over his stomach. She will grow out of it. I'm sure her sister doesn't like it and always moves, that's what my male cat did... always moved or got mad at her, and eventually she just stopped. It was kind of humorous though.
They will also do it if their mother left them at an early age. That was the case with my little kitten, her mother ran away when she was about 5 weeks old and still weening.

It is a comfort mechanism. I have a 7-year old spayed female cat that has ALWAYS tried to nurse on any body part she can reach. We'll cuddle on the couch and she'll just start kneading my arm and suckling away. Her favorites are earlobes.
And I have seen this behavior in many species, oddest enough feedlot steers (males that were trying to nurse each other).

It's just a comfort thing. It'll suck on your earlobe if you let it. I've even seen some adult cats do this because their owner has let them do it for so long. I've owned several cats in the past and few of them liked to kneed my hair and bury their face into my neck. They are content and no harm done.

its like giving a baby a pacifier they do it for comfort I had a kitten we rescued from out side that nursed on my male cat until the kitten was a year old got a lot of laughs from it

i think they do this out of comfort. My male kitten used to do this to my female cat even though she wasnt the mum or lactating. he quite often does it now and hes a year old. Sometines he sucks her neck as well

Maybe she misses her mom and is using the other kitten as a substitute?

I had a couple of kittens who would basically make a "fur teat" on my older cat's neck and suck on it and knead. They just think they'er nursing mama for whatever reason, it makes them content. :)

sometime's they do it for comfort , my kitten who is 14 week's old will suck on my clothing and fall's asleep like it how old are they?
