for the responses above: we all know that we can use google but sometimes yahoo answers is the best place to find out , especially when seeking resources because websites are reviewed from others. For instance I particularly like this website:
http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/

it gives the chance to discuss with others cat care and yet it doesn't pop up with google as the first results. also google somewhat has been disappointing me lately, I seem to have more difficulty finding things now than before.

Some of the answers already given are excellent (and yes I agree, telling the person to Google is just plain lazy & points driven).

Another three sites that have some great information are some pedigree cat sites I belong to - the information specific to pedigree cats holds true for cats in general.

Enjoy your new kitty! :-)

Just type cat, or domestic cat into your web browser ie yahoo or aol or msn and they should come up with several sites, but watch out some sites do try to make you pay for information. I do not have any specific sites.

If you are at all interested in the holistic approach go to: www.littlebigcat.com. Jean Hovfe, DVM has about twenty to thirty articles there that cover health, diet and behavior issues. Lots of stuff to read.

Dr. Hovfe is a part president of the American Assoc. of Holistic Veterinarians.
