my cat likes to play with pens and its funny..i wanna know why they do this?!

yeah my kitten does that too ... but i'm tryin to keep her away because she mite bite into it and get sick =(

Honey, Cats will play with anything they can swat around. A friend of mine has a cat that is just CRAZY over wrapping tissue paper, you know the kind you stuff in gift bags. At Christmas I give her all of mine.. we throw it on the floor all wadded up, and that cat runs through it, swats at it, pounces on it, and anything else she can think of. Funniest thing I have ever seen a cat do.
Just be careful the cat doesn't chew on the pen or marker... Big AS* Mess! LOL

i know my cat it's always doing that! When she plays on the bed with a pen she's always falling off! lol

Try rubbing your pens with liquid alcohol, not only kills germs but also the stench makes cat not to play with it!

i think they find it very entertaining and they think that it is just a very colorful toy. YOu should keep the top closed if u would like him/her to continue to play with it. But u might want to find a different toy for him/her. so then he/she might not bite into it and get sick.

Maybe just because it's fun. Just make sure you keep the caps on them, the ink could be toxic.

because it rolls and colorful and they don't what it is so thier instered just like babys they love to play with stuff that roll and colorful.
