I have tried tying a brick to it and throwing it in a pool so that its head is barely above water, and then I make small waves that go over his cute sopping wet head, I have tried burying the cat up to its head and getting the weed eater and whipping one of his ears off and I accidentally whipped its nose off too, I have tried placing a golf ball on its head and swinging for a hole in one, I have tried using its exposed head as a football tee and practicing my field goal kicks, I have tried pissing on its squirming head until it gets thirsty enough to drink it up, I have put a sprinkler near its head in order to cool it down on those hot summer nights, I have sprinkled dogfood on and around his head so that our 3 legged dog benji could eat his meal and lick the cat while he's at it, I have tried putting a birthday hat on his head and smashing a cake in his face as he is meowing, I have even farted in his face and all he did was close its eyes.

I have almost run out of options and I would hate to do anything mean to him, so what are some nice things I could do to help train my cat to listen to me?

Surely running around the house is not the issue. That seems normal. If not, trade it in for a calm older cat. (Or bird.) The scratching nonsense did me in and after she'd totally shredded the shower curtain, I took her to the vet and told him either declaw (and spay) her right now, or you can keep her. She's a good cat now. My friend tried several types of cat scratchers, even a $50 one. She tried two-sided tape and spraying water (yeah, I always just end up w/wet pets and house). She finally declawed her and now she's a fun cat. A dog training techn, I think would carry over, is when you catch them in the act, pelt with a bean bag. It shouldn't have killer force, but acts as an unpleasant surprise that came from outta nowhere! You'd likely enjoy the surprised look on its face!

Build a box with a clear plexiglass bottom and cover the outside of the plexiglas with paper. Put the cat in the box and then hold the box over a bridge our outside of a third story window. Shake the box to disorient the cat and then pull off the paper. The cat will look down and see the ground far below him! Your cat will FREAK OUT as he tries to "save" himself!

Lol. Before I clicked on this, I thought you really had a question. I was going to suggest you turn your indoor cat into an outdoor cat. But seriously, I don't think you're ready to own a pet of any sort.

I just got a kitten and am going through the same thing. The thing that works best for me is using a spray bottle with water. Every time my kitten is doing something bad or that I dont want her to do, I mist her lightly and she stops. Dont go overboard with it and dont spray her face. Just let her know that its a bad thing and that she gets sprayed each time she does it

The only reason why the cat would be disobediant would be because your such a JERK to him. I don't know if your just an immature pre-teen acting out for attention, but either way, you need help.

Have you tried removing his legs? That will solve the clawing and running problem at the same time!

Buy a spray bottle. Spray him (with water) anytime he does something bad. Make sure he doesn't figure out that you are doing it.
