My male himalayan doenst "meow", he "squeaks". Is that the normal vocalization of this kind of cat?

I have had my Himalayan for two years and have never had her meow like a domestic short hair would. She also sort of squeaks or has a short abrupt meow. The only time she puts forth an effort is if she is hungry. So in my opinion this is a normal thing good luck.

i own a british tabby shorthair and he sqeaks. nothing hardly comes out. I dont think the voice of a cat has anything to do with the breed. some meow some dont whatever breed
