The ones most dangerous that you can be exposed to and get (if the eggs in the feces are ingested) are roundworms. Roundworms are viseral migrators which means they migrate through your organs. Ringworm you can get, but it isn't a worm, but rather a fungal skin infection in the shape of a ring. Humans can get hookworms and giardia (a protoza). If you are a woman at childbearing age or pregnant, do not change the litter box as cats can carry an organism called toxoplasmosis and never show symptoms, just be carriers. Toxo can be readily passed through the placenta of pregnant women.

Don't eat the cat's poo and you'll be fine. The skin thing is fungi, not worms. If the cat has spots with no hair, it can be fungi and you can get that (it goes away after 2 weeks of lamisil).
