Don't stress yourself out. The kitten will meow when the time comes, or not. I have a couple that, as adults, just open their mouths and nothing comes out but a little squeak. I have others that meow like you are standing on their tails. As long as it is eating and mom is taking care of it don't worry. If mom ignores the kitten then you should worry, but please, for the time being don't worry about the meow. It's true that most babies cry naturally, but in the animal kingdom that is not always the case.
Just keep a close watch and I am sure that everything will be fine. Have fun with the new babies and be sure and find them good homes.

Look inside it's mouth, specificially the roof of it's mouth. Is it different than the rest of them? Does it have a hole there, or any type of defect? It is possible that it might have a cleft palate if there is one, which could be a reason why it is not meowing. This is a serious problem as it will not be able to nurse properly, and most newborn animals with this issue are euthanized. I'm hoping that it's not that for your sake, it's just the first thing that came to mind. I've included a website so you can see pictures of what I'm talking about.

I have a cat who the only time she meows is when she gets a bath cause she hates water. You can try giving her a bath and if she yowls she is perfectly fine. Most likely the cat is fine. If the only abnormality is her not meowing you should be happy because some cats won't shut up. If you are really worried then yeah you should take her to the vet.

You have to go online to www.newcat.com and install the meow program. You can download it if you don't have a copy laying around. Soon she will be meowing like a kitten.

you should try looking in her mouth to see if there's something stuck in there, like that birth goo. i've never heard of a mute cat... maybe she isn't actually about to meow and she's actually gagging. or maybe she just has a very quiet voice.

the kitten will probably be okay. mine didn't meow until he was older, I was pretty sure he was mute, but I think sometimes kittens just can't meow til they're older. congrats on the kittens, anywayss :)

I had one once that was well over a year that didn't meow. When she did try, it was more like a little whimper. She was fine!

my kitty is 4 and I have probably heard him meow 10 times. some cats simply aren't meow-ers. and when he does, he sounds odd and strained. i think he may have vocal chord problems. who knows. i still love him.
