I have a pet parrot that is really cool. The problem is that he just falls asleep at the drop af the hat. This evening he was riding the celing fan around and around and he fell asleep and hit the floor. He was not hurt. He sometimes falls off his perch asleep. I am worried that he is going tofall asleep while drinking water and drown. Any ideas?

i have currently had no luck in my button quails hatching their eggs so i have put 4 eggs in a budgie nestbox with one of my females. She has been laying on the 4 eggs for a whole now & i think that they are just about ready to hatch that is if they are fertile. What should i use to put the young in once they hatch? i have read on websites that you can put them in cardboard boxes with a lamp is this correct? also what should i feed them once they hatch is it alright to feed them worms as soon as they hatch. Please only answer if you seriosuly know & have done this before. cheers

We have a Quaker Parrot, and I know you have to get them DNA sexed. But if it is a female at what age do they usually lay eggs? And do you need a nestbox in order for this to happen, or would they lay them right on the bottom of the cage? (the bottom has like a grate thing over it)

1. My bird is 5 months old. she makes chirping noises and stuff but i want to teach him/her to whistle. He/she makes chirping and sounds like a Togepi (From Pokemon) and his/her crest is about 3 inches long. He/she has not molted yet.

2. First off I know you'll all say its too young and it might not be a boy but if it was a boy, how do I teach it to talk and whistle (By the way, I am really bad at whistling).

I have a budgie that is almost two years old. He recently strated this very high pitched screech that I have never heard before and he does it only when my husband or I are out of his sight range. We don't even have to leave the room and he starts. It is very annoying and since we live in an apartment I am worried people will start to complain. We can hear him out by our car when we are leaving and we live on the third floor. He has never done this before and it is driving us insane, we have been ingnoring him and only coming back into his sight when he stops screeching but it is so incessant sometimes it takes up to an hour before we can go back in the room. It is really driving us insane and I dont want to give him away, but he is making it very uncomfortable for us to be at home and straightening up or doing ANYTHING that doesnt involve sitting in the living room with him and watching TV. PLEASE HELP!!!

I love watching the chicadees, blue jays, finch and woodpeckers however the garage roof is full of pidgeons which scare away the birds I want to feed.

About a year ago, he had one little fly looking thing (white) around it. We thought it was cute how it was everywhere the macaw was. Later, there were five or six around the cage. Now there are all over the house. We keep his cage as clean as possible, but they are everywhere. Does anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them?

I have three. My first is a gorgeous lutino that I think is a female because she doesn't mimic. She is very sweet but only likes her head pet. She is about 2 years old. My second is an unusual color. It is almost all white with no cheek markings and a bit of grey on its sides. I think it's a female for the same reason. She is a little over a year. My third I got from a friend who couldn't give it enough attention. He is almost all grey with a white head and no cheek markings, I think they're called white faced? He is definitely a male because he sings and talks. I was wondering why I haven't seen any eggs yet in the cage? Maybe they're all males. I have seen the "male" breeding with both "females" but no eggs! If I put a nestbox in the cage, would it encourage them to lay eggs? Also, my male squaks so much! He drives everyone crazy. Yes, he does talk and whistle pretty tunes but he screams all the time as well. How can I get him to quiet down???
