Parakeets can talk, but it will take a while to teach them. It is best to start when they are young. You should start with a simple word and just repeat it slow and clear. The bird will be easier to teach if there is no other bird around to talk "bird talk" with.

Yes, they can and WILL. First your bird needs to be 4 months or UNDER, a male, and only bird. It takes time, and patience to teach a bird to talk. A single bird usually becomes very tame indeed.Birds a social creatures and a single bird will need lots of attention and company. Once you teach your bird to say one word, which can be achieved with dedication in three weeks, you will find your bird will find it easier to say/pick up many words! Good luck with your bird.

With a lot of time, practice and patience you can teach your parakeet to say a few words, however you must remember that they choose what they say(tweet, whistle or talk) so don't be discouraged if yours decides that it likes it's own language better than the one you're trying to teach.

yes they can but their voices are not very loud and are kinda squeaky- it's not always easy to tell what they are saying-but they definitely try! they are more likely to learn if you spend a lot of time with them and win their trust. train him to "step up" onto a stick be patient but persistent- it is the 1st most important thing you should teach any bird that you intend to handle- when he feels comfortable with you-both inside and outside of the cage-you will have a sweet funny companion who will be very likely to try and copy some of the words he hears you say -repeat the word or phrase that you want him to learn often-and don't get another bird because that will distract them sometimes to the point of no longer wanting anything more to do with you! have fun, and good luck!

Not all parrots learn to talk, but they can talk. I have a parakeet that is a rescue, and he is learning a few words. He has learned to say "Hi", and he will start to laugh and come out with "Tweet" and laugh a little more. He is just learning to say "Pretty Bird", which he is learning from one of my cockatiels.

All birds can talk. It's just that most of them choose not to. Some can type too, but parrots prefer to ride bikes and smash mirrors. Many end up on ASBO's.

first, if he's new to you, it particularly is going to take days and doubtless on a similar time as much as a week for him to get comfortable in his new ecosystem, permit him get comfortable, and get used to the cage, sounds, you and different issues interior the abode, as for conversing, it takes some artwork, it won't take place over the years even though it particularly is going to take place and in case you're searching for him to declare easily words it ought to no longer take place, the words come greater in sounds, and in case you hear you will hear the words, my parakeets say i admire you and thank you. you ought to get him used to you first, then each and each morning once you detect him, repeat the be conscious which you particularly prefer him to declare, say it slow and heavily so he can understand you. The greater you repeat it via out the day the greater he will hear it and finally repeat it. save to the comparable be conscious, do no longer replace it or he won't seize on. Like I reported, it particularly is going to take time, probably a month, yet as quickly as he says it, you will understand and luxuriate in it. additionally, the greater you work together with him the greater he will prefer to do issues with and for you. so take exhilaration on your parakeet in each and every element and play with him and talk over with him and he will respond. good success.

Will and can are 2 very different questions. Yes they can, most don't/won't. Check online for "training parakeets (or budgies) to talk" and you should find some tips.
