I have a pet parrot that is really cool. The problem is that he just falls asleep at the drop af the hat. This evening he was riding the celing fan around and around and he fell asleep and hit the floor. He was not hurt. He sometimes falls off his perch asleep. I am worried that he is going tofall asleep while drinking water and drown. Any ideas?

Get him a water bottle with the little ball on the end so he won't drown.
If he falls asleep in his food, that would be a great picture.
maybe you could post it.

It sounds like your parrot is not getting enough sleep at night. Parrots require 10-12 hours of sleep each and every day. If he's getting that much sleep, then he needs to be seen by a Certified Avian Vet.
Birds can get sleep disorders, just like people, and most of the time these disorders are treatable.
On another note, if you are letting your bird ride on the ceiling fan, then shame on you. This is NOT a good practice t do, as the ceiling fan may be going too fast one time, and oyur bird can fly into the moving blades and get killed.

Try and keep him off of dangerous items he can hurt on if he falls asleep. There is no cure here is a site about a dog with this disorder http://www.devilducky.com/media/8232/ About his water maybe if you just keep it shallow enough so he has clean water but can not drown maybe a solouction,

I WOULD TAKE HIM TO AN AVARIAN VET. HE MIGHT HAVE LEAD POISON IF HE KEEPS FALLING. ALSO YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO RUN YOUR CEILING FAN WHILE HE IS OUT OF CAGE AS HE MIGHT GET INJURED BY IT.
