This will explain the reflection in the window looks deceptively like an open skyway. Misleads birds to crash into the window. A plant in the window does the same thing.
Apply COLLIDESCAPE, a window film that will help your problem.

Good answers, above.
Sometimes you can't do anything about it. Birds not only think that they can fly through a window, but they can also see their reflection in the window and think it's another bird trying to get into their territory. During mating season, some birds have been known to beat their brains out on shiny hubcaps.
Most often, birds fly into windows because they have been startled by a predator (a hawk, for instance) and don't have time to do anything but flee. If a window looks like a good hiding place, they'll go for it and crash.

The final time I shopped for window decals designed to circumvent poultry collisions maximum places have been nonetheless merchandising the well-known black silhouettes. this shade blends into the glass. Years in the past I had my own made that have been white. Now I see there are some places merchandising white ones. attempt putting a black one on one window and a white on yet another and you will ask your self why all people even manufactures the black ones anymore. the kind is surprising (oops, sorry). frequently numerous are mandatory in alternating positions 2 or 3 inches aside. do not provide up yet. numerous web pages with information and decals on the industry are sourced decrease than tho i've got in no way carried out corporation w them. only attempting makes you a kind guy or woman. thank you for analyzing my answer.

We had this happen at work. We tried stincking all kind of things to the window with no results. We finally printed a silhouette of a cat off the internet and taped it to the window and never had a problem. Its been 1 1/2 years now. It really looks stupid but it sure worked.

Quit using "Windex". When a window is super clean, you can see yourself as you walk by it....the birds do too and they rush to meet their friend who, at the same time, is rushing to meet them...resulting in a crash. Actually their is nothing you can really do about it. It happens here all the time. I'm just glad they don't get hurt.

I was going to say the suggestions above. But since they are already there...
I would say If you have kids get washable paint and let them paint a picture on your picture window. (from the inside) or permanent paint on the outside. And just use a razor blade to remove it when you change it.
You can change it up for holidays, birthdays, and other stuff.

whatever you do don't use windex!!! it will give you a streak-free shine BUT that means that the birds wont see the window... cuz windex will get it so nice and clean, therefore through the window they try to go!
