My daughter said that was not true--but a neighbor has raised them for 10 years and gives them fine gravel.

My 4 year old Cockatiel just laid an egg. She was sitting on it but then started to do what she usually does. I also have a male in the cage but why did she only lay one egg?
She is not sitting on it for awhile. Should I take the egg and put it under a light or should I just leave it there?

I would like information on small parrot breeds such as quakers and conures.Other breeds are ok to. I already have 10 birds, but the largest is are lovebirds. I am selling all of my birds except for my beautiful parrotlet. I would like to get a parrot, but dont have a buget of 1000's of dollars, so If I get a quaker, or conure, I would only spend a max of 300$ on the bird. I am not familiar with large birds and need as much information as possible. Please dont just say"google it" because I have and I have only found books, not sites. Thank you for your time. and i hope you can help me out.

I like watching them tear it into strips and weave it between their tail feathers to fly back to their nest with. Sometime greenjeans has a 3-5 inch piece hanging behind her as she flys by. Kinda cute kinda funny.

She is hand raised and friendly, and it'd be a neat idea if it would work. How long until she gets used to it? I put her on it but she just freaks out, which of course is expected... but will she ever settle down? Is it mean to do?!?! I don't want to hurt her. But this way she'd be able to go boating and bike riding and roller blading with me which would be fun for her.

I have said you can eat them, they were domesticated for that purpose just like chickens, cows and pigs. For that matter "dogs in Korea" I myself am a vegetarion.
After 36 year lapse in a hobby, I would again like to raise a particular breed of excellent racing pigeons.
So, I will simply ask the question without commentary any further.
Does anyone know, "someone who breeds "Dordan" pigeons? "
A breed originating in Belgium, and named after the pigeon fancier Mr. Pierre Dordan of Belgium in the late 1940's, shortly after the war.
Let it be known, that any other comments or questions that I may of put forward were to stimulate interest and or response, and for that I thank you! Sorry to have offended, I thought I was on a mature forum, that needs not, profanity, to make a point.
I find it funny, that I, a vegetarion, have no problem wearing leather shoes or feeding a pet when humans are dying of hunger in affluent societies.

I didn't have my heat on in my house last week. It got a bit cold then turned around and got warm the next day. The bird died a couple days later. Nothing else different happened. Could it have been the temperature change?

I AM HAVING THOUGHTS OF RELOCATING THEM TO A NEW HOME AND I AM AFRAID I AM ONLY HAVING THESE THOUGHTS DUE TO THIS GRIEVING. I WISH I KNEW WHAT WAS RIGHT HERE....ANY RESPONSES IS APPRECIATED.

If you have a bird that you can't look after anymore I will re-home it with my other birds, where it will be taken care of and loved, in a safe environment, with all its needs catered for. I can travel to collect in and around Exeter UK, or just outside, but you will need to bring the bird to me if you are further away. I will not charge you anything and you can visit your pet whenever you like to check up on his/her progress. I run an Aviary with Cockatiels, Kakarikis, Lovebirds, Quails and Budgies and have room for more. I am also able to take Canaries as I am currently preparing a sanctury for these.
