My 6 year old lady has laid 5 and there's no signs of any more. I have read up a hell of a lot as I've been planning for this for ages. I know my male has been mating with her but I still don't know if it was the right time and these eggs are fertile. I've tried to flashlight on the eggs and I don't know if i'l looking at the right thing.. we've removed the male from the cage also as he's got a feather plucking obsession which I had checked for mites and it was due to him losing his last cage pal. I've done things to teach him not to pluck but its more of an obsession now. Just some pointers would be fab , thank you :)

When I was a child we had an Amazon parrot and when we would play certain songs, he would dance. He would tilt his head to the left, then shuffle to the left, then tilt his head to right, shuffle to the right and repeat the whole thing over and over. He also would stop and bob his head up and down.

Anyway, I was wondering if any studies have ever been done on this. Was he really 'dancing'? Meaning, was he really expressing his enjoyment of the music? If so, this must be a testament of their intelligence.

Besides expensive parrots, is there any other bird that is recommended to be kept as an indoor pet?? If you know any could you then limit it down to the cheaper ones? And which is the best place to buy one of these birds??? (In a healthy or at least cheap condition). Thank you.

At the moment he gets on my finger himself but then jumps straight off?, when will he stay on long enogh to bring out of the cage (also is that the correct way to start taming him?) Also at what age will he start learning to talk and how long a day should i talk to him.??

My baby African Grey is just four months old and isn't speaking yet, although she says pep up when she wants to step up onto your finger. How old was your bird when it started to speak. I've seen a cockatoo screaming HOORAY at 3 months. Can't wait to hear from you.

Ok... Now as wierd as this sounds my two year old budgie has an unhealthy addiction to h*mping the little plastic bird friend in his cage.. He literally sh*ggs it all day... everyday... so much so that at times he has worn himself out completely and neary fallen off his perch!!! (bless his h*rny little heart)

My problem is i tried to remove said lady friend from his cage to give his ickle heart a rest but he went mad until i put her back in... needles to say he h*mped her frantically the rest of the night... I need to know
1) Is this normal for a male budgie.....
2) Is this a sign to buy a real friend for him!!!
3) How can i stop him h*mping so much!!! he makes a right noise when he's on the job!!!
